Luchetti turned in a very strong sophomore campaign for the varsity squad at Monona Grove. He earned substantial playing time due to his ability to score, both off the dribble and from outside the three-point line. Luchetti averaged around 14 points per game while playing in the strong Badger Large Conference. He and his older brother, 2027 forward

Luchetti was incredible for Monona Grove on Saturday. The 6-foot-3 sophomore was getting buckets in a major way against Hartford. Luchetti utilized his deep bag of skills to explode for 19 points in the first half against the Hartford scoring from all three levels. Evan uses his body extremely well from the mid post, off the bounce, and off the ball. Luchetti has great footwork and is rarely sped up or out of control. Luchetti finished the game with 26 points despite MG losing by 19. When MG is healthy with Evan’s older brother Austin next season, look out! Luchetti should be considered a stock riser and a player to watch this spring and summer.

, out for the season with an injury, Evan has picked up his game and is scoring from the perimeter, from the mid range and near the basket for coach Dan Zweifel’s squad. Luchetti has a smooth jump shot and the size to shoot over smaller defenders. He has helped Monona Grove to a 7-7 record competing against top-level teams in and outside of league play.

‘s development so far this season can be traced to the season-ending injury his older brother, Austin, sustained in the opening week of the season. Evan’s minutes are way up, in part because of Austin’s unfortunate injury. And he’s producing at a very high level for the Silver Eagles. His ability to score inside and outside, his elevation on his jump shot and his overall feel for the game were all impressive in the win over Baraboo. He finished with a game-best 20 points and earned high praise from his coach, Dan Zweifel. “It’s hard to replace 25 points and nearly 10 rebounds that Austin would have provided, but Evan has really blossomed so far in his brother’s absence. His minutes are up and he is producing for our team.”

showed himself as a stellar player in his own right on Wednesday in Stoughton. He drilled one three-point basket after another while also guarding well and hitting the glass on both ends. Monona Grove has a very deep and talented roster so getting big minutes at the varsity level this winter might be difficult, but Luchetti is proving to be an outstanding player who could make big plays this winter.

Luchetti played with relentless energy, fueling his team with speed, toughness, and constant pressure. On defense, he thrived in the full-court press, using active hands and non-stop activity to disrupt opposing ball handlers. Offensively, he attacked the basket fearlessly, finishing through contact and converting tough “and-1” opportunities, often above the rim.
