About Xavier

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

an unselfish point guard who can guard all 5 positions on the floor. an aggressive all around scorer and passer with higher than average basketball IQ, athleticism and playmaking abilities.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is that I have worked very hard to get to the point where people recognize me for my basketball abilities but I am not yet satisfied until I have created an opportunity to pay for my own education.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’ve been involved in groups such as, Black Student Union and Sources of Strength and I have received awards for leadership and academics and I am an honor roll student.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I regularly participate in leadership building workshops with coaches and our athletic director. I regularly plan and attend team activities to build relationships with my teammates and help keep everyone focused. I participate in many community service activities such as serving dinner at the homeless shelter and teaching youth how to play sports at the Boys and Girls Club.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’m fortunate that I have not yet faced any challenges that I would think of as being significant- but I know that they are out there and when they come, I’m confident that I will be able to navigate them using all of the tools that I’ve learned in sports and in life to this point.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking to go a college that is regarded as highly for its academics as it is for its athletics. I’m also to go to a college that has enthusiastic fans because that makes it more fun to play.
