Few players have been as impressive in the state as Berninger, a tall guard with three level scoring ability who has proven himself as a bonafide primary shot creator. Matching or improving his efficiency on much larger volume, the guard has spiked his scoring 13.1 points to 24.6 points per game. What has been most impressive is the guard’s ability to maintain his efficiency while posing as the center of opponent scouting reports throughout the season. Capable of rising up for off-balance jumpers in the mid-range or throwing down an emphatic slam, few guards in the state have risen to the challenge quite like Berninger.

Incredibly efficient inside the arc, Jones’ production has skyrocketed since last season with greater volume. Although a small sample size, the guard could be an impressive two-way prospect in due time.

Riehl remains a high energy perimeter threat who uses his quickness to get downhill with ease off the bounce. His quick instincts on either end of the floor have allowed him to be among the state’s most productive guards, effective on or off the ball. Despite losing a couple key upperclassmen last season, Mesa Ridge remains 5-2 with a couple key wins over Thompson Valley and Falcon.

All too physical for opponents along the Western Slope, Ferguson is one of three 2025s within 5A at 19+ points per game, alongside second place in rebounds per game.

Angelo’s scoring efficiency has been particularly important to Mead’s 6-2 start, dependable on all three levels while maintaining effectiveness defending opponents at the point of attack.

A formidable and physically imposing guard, Sims has produced some eye opening performances throughout the season. A couple of those performances include 23/6/6/2 blocks versus Thornton and 23/6R/4A/4S/2B versus Littleton.

15.7 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 2.8 APG, 2.6 SPG, 1 BPG, 54% 2P
Armendariz has helped Thornton due to his point of attack defense, tipping away the ball for steals and fast break layups. Contributing roughly 25% of Thornton’s steals per game, his high energy has played a pivotal role in this group’s early success.

The big man has been productive protecting the rim early on, one of only two 2025s in 5A with two or more blocks per game. His size advantage deters plenty of drives, either through contests or presence alone.

Although undersized as a highly productive rebounder, Cepeda makes it up through his constant motor and willingness to get a box out under the rim.

One of the most consistent prospects in the class, Manzani alongside fellow backcourt prospect Brady Kennison Brady Kennison 6’0″ | CG Thompson Valley | 2024 State CO have been among the state’s most productive backcourts. Manzani’s strong frame combined with the steady pace of play has allowed him to set up teammates in ideal situations. Effective drawing opponents on drives for kick outs or making the fundamental entry pass into a post mismatch, the guard has excelled finding his teammates in their sweet spots.

10 PPG, 6.3 APG, 3.3 RPG, 1.9 SPG, 49% 2P
Palmer has outshined just about every preseason poll, although given their regrouping of depth from last season, a strong start should have been expected. In small part from Weber’s facilitating, this group has begun 8-1 on the season with a well balanced effort, with four players in double digit scoring. Despite a slow start behind the line, the junior has continued a dependable impact that has maintained a dominant start to the season.

Peterson currently sits atop 2025s in 5A for blocks per game, alongside 5th place in rebounds per game. His quick rotations and athletic advantage at 6’4 has been an important dose of energy into Roosevelt’s lineups.

Martinez provides immense value for 5-4 Greeley Central, leading this group in points, assists, and steals per game. Assertive at the point of attack, the guard brings an excellent feel for the game, generating easy shots from steals.
