One of the most explosively athletic guards at The Stage, James caught a couple of alley-oop dunks and was excellent in transition all weekend long for Indiana Elite Team Crossroads 17u. The Jeffersonville High School product has some intriguing athletic tools that he pairs with the ability to get to the rim off of the dribble. He has some intriguing two-way upside that college coaches should check out.

James played big when his team needed him too. He was in a back-n-fourth game from start to end and when you’re in games like this you need stability. He provided that for D1 Indiana Elite Gold especially late. He was scoring on all three levels. He knocked down a three when left open but besides that, he put the ball on the ground and got his spot. He elevates high on his jumper and is good with knocking down shots off-balance. Really nice scoring guard.

James was maybe the quickest guard I saw all day. Able to glide in transition, James had some sweet acrobatic finishes at the rim and was a blur when he attacked downhill. Defensively, James forced turnovers with his on ball pressure and allowed his team to run in transition.
