Pate was one of the best shooters we saw at the event on Saturday. In our combine shooting where players shot 25 threes from 5 spots on the court, Braydon hit 20 threes. Then he hit 30 threes in three minutes of another drill. In game action, Pate mostly played off the ball on Saturday and was effective as a shooter and driver for his team.
Loftis was a top performer at camp on Saturday in my eyes. Overlooked due to playing at Holy Cross, Mike is a very solid player with good instincts on the ball and as a defender. While he’s not the biggest guard you’ll find, Loftis was one of the more effective players at camp Saturday and played at a high level all day long.
Alexander fits the role of a big shooter. Will had a strong showing in the drills portion of the day and was very solid in 5 on 5 play. Already holding an offer, look for Will to have a couple more options to play at the next level before signing day roles around.

This team was stacked with shooters and DeGroff was no different. A big wing with a nice shot, Jonathan is working his way onto college radars and will be a player to watch this season for Ryle. The coaching staff there told me he works his tail off and I can see the potential in him, long term.

A popular name lately in Louisville, Sutton is long and athletic and was one of the few players on his team that was more comfortable driving the lane than playing as a shooter on the outside. “JJ” has some nice intangibles to him as a prospect and is a name to monitor in the Derby City this season.
Ritchey absolutely shot the lights out in the game of 5 on 5 that I watched. The Shelby County Senior hit threes on three or four consecutive possessions and I’m not sure any of them touched the rim. If he can do that consistently this season, he’ll be able to stake his claim to best shooter in central Kentucky and possibly the entire state.

Another of the Elite Mentality AAU group that came down to Louisville, Weah is a very interesting prospect because he’s very athletic and has a crazy long wingspan at 6’11”. There were times I felt back for Emontae because he was working his tail off to rebound, block shots, screen and run the floor but wasn’t getting the touches on offense. He’s a kid that could be a breakout star in Cincy this season.
Carter continues to grow and he’s hopeful that a transfer to Lloyd Memorial will provide more opportunities for him in his Junior season. Bresser shot the ball well in 5 on 5 action and showed improved defense and the ability to move laterally better than in the past. With his length and skill, Carter has long term upside.

Another big wing shooter from the 9th region, Tanner showed off deep range on his jumper and confidence to shoot or put it on the floor and be more of a driver. Murphy has big time academics and a 30 on his ACT. He would be a good D3 player or even a D1 walk-on in the right situation.
Brady, like Ritchey, had a stretch where he hit multiple threes in a row for his team in the last game of the day. Cummins showed more confidence in his ball handling than what he’s shown in past viewings. Typically regarded as a shooter for DeSales, Brady showed he is capable of a lot more for the Colts this season than what his role has been in previous seasons.
