Ritchey absolutely shot the lights out in the game of 5 on 5 that I watched. The Shelby County Senior hit threes on three or four consecutive possessions and I’m not sure any of them touched the rim. If he can do that consistently this season, he’ll be able to stake his claim to best shooter in central Kentucky and possibly the entire state.

The 6-0 junior shooting guard had an electrifying high school season for Shelby County, as he averaged 16.6 points per game and made a team-high 97 3-pointers. Despite his high school team going 8-16 during the season teams were aware of where Ritchey was going to become a threat from the perimeter. Ritchey has a great catch and release that will be worth noting as he takes the floor at the Grit Region Kick Off this weekend.

Ritchey being left off the list is probably due to Shelby County’s lack of results in the region going 4-11. He led his team in scoring averaging 16.6 ppg and connecting on an astonishing 97 – 3’s on the year. Without a doubt one of the top 3pt shooters in the state with deep range. Can shoot both off the catch and dribble with a quick release. If he gets hot, Shelby County can beat anybody.
