Two Names to Watch on [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans'] 17U

17U action between North Dakota's ECL Select and [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans'] had plenty of size and physicality. But two Titans players really opened my eyes. One of them is [player_tooltip player_id='1296155' first='Brock' last='Remme']. The 6'6” F is an athletic three-level scorer who makes plays on both ends of the floor. He knocked down several open looks in the opening half and gave [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans'] a nice lead at halftime. By the second half, you saw his defense and athleticism come into play. He really gets in your face and created several points off turnovers, including an athletic dunk at the rim. The other Titans player to note is Dylan Leccia. The 6'5” Point Guard displayed outstanding speed and court awareness with some terrific passing skills. His 6'5” height gives him so much potential at the college level. You also saw him throw down a dunk of his own and hit an outside shot in the second half. Leccia scored 12 points while Remme scored 15.

[program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans'] 16U Dominates to Unbeaten Weekend

After an outstanding Performance from the 17U team earlier, it's the 16U squad bursted to a dominating win for an unbeaten record this weekend. 6'3” G [player_tooltip player_id='1760312' first='Riley' last='Johnson'] started off with a bang. Scoring ten points with two 3-pointers in the games opening minutes. He continued finding ways to score while also dishing out a handful of assists. He hit shots all over the floor. Both off the dribble and off an assist. By halftime, he was up to 22 points, while their opponents (NextGen) had only 16. Banks aren't open on Sunday's, but [player_tooltip player_id='1760312' first='Riley' last='Johnson'] was cashing in!

Another player I like is 6'2” SG [player_tooltip player_id='1617794' first='Ryan' last='Beckwith'], who shot the ball with tons of confidence and played at a high pace. He had two quick threes to begin the second half and flashed two assists in transition. He was also a heavy presence defensively with quite a few forced turnovers and rebounds. Beckwith finished with nine points to complement [player_tooltip player_id='1760312' first='Riley' last='Johnson']'s 24. Forward Afy Ibeckwe scored 8 points and was a bug factor on the boards. [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans'] beat Next Gen Elite 64-30.

The Chicago Demons Opponent, [program_tooltip program_id='2221115' first='Midwest' last='Kings'], had quite the game. [player_tooltip player_id='1625009' first='Korde' last='Roseman'] opened the game with a deep 3-pointer and followed it up with a fast-break dunk and some more points created in transition. A terrific first half was capped off by a crafty spin to the hoop He gave [program_tooltip program_id='2221115' first='Midwest' last='Kings'] a 15 point lead at halftime with 11 points. It wasn't just his offense. He was an outstanding perimeter defender made it a challenge for Chicago Demons to break past him or hit outside shots. When the Demons crawled back, he continued to impress with a couple forced turnovers and baskets in transition. A driving layup through contact pushed the lead back to double digits and the Kings held on. [player_tooltip player_id='1625009' first='Korde' last='Roseman'] scored 17 points in the contest, while 5'10” G Eli Tatuges added 15.

[program_tooltip program_id='2075901' first='Team' last='Iowa'] 16U Impresses Despite Loss

My week ended with Pride Rock (WI) facing [program_tooltip program_id='2075901' first='Team' last='Iowa'] Elite at the 16U level. Pride Roc started the game hot, but it was stellar play from [program_tooltip program_id='2075901' first='Team' last='Iowa'] that made this an intriguing contest. 6'3” F [player_tooltip player_id='1951799' first='Nehemiah' last='Lewis'] is a big-bodied prospect who used tons of physicality to score inside, while also stretching the floor and making nice feeds to cutting teammates. Ian Church is a 6'4” wing who displayed guard-like skills in the opening half while finding buckets from all three levels. His lateral movements and ability to attack the glass with an impressive layup really excite me.his athleticism came i to play in the second half with a dunk in transition, while keeping this game close. Some outstanding play on both ends from Aiden Miller cut the lead to 3 just a few minutes into the second half. A long pass from Lewis and some more physical play on the interior from him eventually gave them a 62-60 lead with five minutes left. Although the lead wasn't held, there's plenty to like about this squad.
