Well that is a star studded group there are also a few other names that you need to know.
AJ Abusaab
AJ Abusaab
AJ is a true Point Guard. By that I mean he can run the offense and create for others off the drive. AJ is a very explosive guard with decent speed. AJ is great at driving and attacking the rim, as well as creating shots for others off his drives. The one area AJ should look to expand on is his shooting. He has a great shot, but he doesn’t shoot it as much as he should.
At 6’7″ KJ can do everything. He is a very coordinated big who has great hands. With his big frame he has a great arsenal of post moves to post defenders up. As a big KJ checks all the boxes, height, rebounding, post moves, shot blocking, and he also can add some shooting. KJ has a very nice shot from 3 and if he continues to develop his shooting he will be impossible to guard.
Marquese Dennis Marquese Dennis 6'4" | PG Brentwood | 2024 State NY
Marquese Dennis Marquese Dennis 6'4" | PG Brentwood | 2024 State NY
Marquese is a crafty, shifty, and explosive guard. He is a pure scorer, he can score attacking the rim, by pulling up, or knocking down a 3. At 6’4″ he is a big guard who uses his size to attack the paint and draw fouls. He also has great vision, not only does he find the open teammate, but the way he delivers the ball to them leading them to the basket without turning it over should not go unnoticed.
Ben Haug
Ben Haug
Ben is crazy athletic. He is all over the court always going 110% when he is on the court. Ben is very aggressive both offensively. On offense Ben never stands still and is always cutting to get himself open. Ben is great at finishing in the paint. He also as a very nice shot from 3 that he should look to use more. Defensively, Ben has great vision to jump passes and get deflections. Ben is definitely a player to keep your eye on this spring.
Ryan Hosein
Ryan Hosein
Ryan is an athletic guard. He is fast, under control, and explosive. He thrives with the ball in his hands and can score from just about anywhere. He has a great shot from the midrange as well as 3. I think he is one of the most underrated players on Long Island and New York. Ryan is also fearless and has no problem with the ball in his hand at the end of the game.

Brendan Kearney
Brendan Kearney
The best way to describe his game is, you can’t stop him, and you can’t score on him. At 6’9″ and 215 lbs not many people match can match that size. Pair size with skill and you have a truly unstoppable player. He is a great scorer, he moves very well for his size and is great running the floor. On defense not many players are able to get a shot off over him. With his size and athleticism he is built to succeed at the college level and beyond.

Thomas has always been a good player just under the shadow of Matt Garside Matt Garside 6’2″ | SG Kings Park | 2023 State NY . With Matt graduating Thomas will be leading the show for Kings Park, this upcoming season. Thomas handles the ball very well and is great with attacking the basket. Thomas when he doesn’t have the ball in his hands is always moving around to get himself an open 3, which he knocks down 9/10 times. Thomas is very unselfish and will make the right read based off the defense on whether to attack to swing the ball. Thomas is a player you will definitely want to keep your eye on throughout the spring.

Jackson O’Brien Jackson O’Brien 6'5" | PF Friends Academy | 2024 State NY
Jackson is a great shooter and a great defender. His ability to lock down opposing guards on the perimeter without fouling is amazing. He has quick hands and great vision this allows him to get his hand in the passing lane, get a deflection, and go. On offense he has great finishing ability, most of his finishes are because Jackson got a steal or deflection. In the half court Jackson is one of the purest shooters in the Class of 2024. His ability to knock down a 3 or pull up in the midrange makes him a threat no matter where he is on the court.
Gavyn Pacheco
Gavyn Pacheco
Gavyn is a great guard. He can run the offense or play off the ball and still impact the the game on the offensive end of the floor. Given his shooting ability and his ability to finish at the rim, Gavyn makes great shot choices. He does not force shots up if they aren’t their instead he attacks the rim. He is also very explosive and shifty with the ball in his hands. The one thing Gavyn should look to improve on this year is his movement off the ball getting more open shots from 3.

Christian is one of the most explosive players in the class of 2024. The speed he has along with his bounce is unmatched by any player in the class of 2024 in NY. Christian will never give up on a play. Which is why he has so many chase down blocks for a guard. Christian also has the ability to stop on a dime and pull up in the midrange. One area Christian should look to expand is his 3 point shooting to be a complete offensive threat.
Shane missed most of his junior year due to a broken arm. He had a great performance in the Grit Region Kickoff. Shane is one of the hardest workers, personally having coached Shane I truly believe there is not a harder worker than him. Shane is able to post up as well as play on the perimeter. On defense he can guard 1-5 and is a great shot blocker.
“Shane is one of the hardest workers I have ever met. If he had not broke his arm his junior year he would have been one getting much more attention. However, Shane is making up for lost time every chance he gets, whether it is at 5am before school or 10 pm, Shane is always looking to get better and is extremely coachable” – Coach Sayers
