KJ Anderson
About KJ
Expert Analysis
Brian Reichert | Prep Hoops Scout
Anderson has bounced a round a bit during his high school career but finished off his career with the Falcons this past year. He is a strong forward who has inside out game plus a great understand of the game. The Senior was a double double machine who improved his passing numbers, free throw percentage and turnover numbers. We really like his upside at the next level and believe he could help a ton of programs at the D2/D3 level.

K J has transferred to the Knox school from Farmingdale. KJ has good size and can shoot it from three off the catch or kick outs. With his size he is effective inside of 15 feet. Can get to the rim off of 2 dribbles.

At 6’7″ KJ is unlike any other player in his class. KJ is by far the most athletic and versatile forward/big that I have seen in the class of 2024. His ability to run the floor leads to a bunch of easy baskets in transition. On offense you can put KJ in the post or on the perimeter and he will constantly break defenses down. KJ has great range for a 6’7″ basketball player. His ability to post people up is best offensive skill. On Defense it is nearly impossible to score over KJ. The same goes for his frame, his ability to box people out and rebound is probably his second best skill.

At 6’7″ KJ can do everything. He is a very coordinated big who has great hands. With his big frame he has a great arsenal of post moves to post defenders up. As a big KJ checks all the boxes, height, rebounding, post moves, shot blocking, and he also can add some shooting. KJ has a very nice shot from 3 and if he continues to develop his shooting he will be impossible to guard.

KJ is unlike most 6’7″ Juniors. KJ is one of the most coordinated bigs I have seen play. He can shoot, score, and get boards. Maybe the most unnoticed thing about KJ is his ability to catch passes. This ability allows KJ to finish around the rim with ease. Pair his offensive ability with his body it makes for a great shot blocker and rebounder and a very well rounded player.
