About Godswill
Expert Analysis
Frank Mantesta | Prep Hoops Scout
Schools are just getting involved now with Godswill. He has heard from Oregon, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Seton Hall and UMASS. He posts up wide and low demanding the ball. He is quick with a spin off the block finishing with either hand. He is an intimidating fixture in the paint defensively. Will be a major force on the recruiting radar for many schools.

Thankfully from this list the big men still have a place in the game. That’s what Godswill is. A skilled post player. He can make quick spins moves off the baseline block or paint and finish with either hand. A force defensively. Can block or alter shots plus does a really good job defending the post. Has great size and uses it to step out and defend. Holds offers from Fordham , USC, St Bonnaventure, Maryland, Texas Tech, Seton Hall, St. John’s, Arizona Tech.

This rise for Godswill is not only because of what he has done this past season but the still untapped potential of this young man. Might not be the best player on his team now but continued improvement could land this player even higher up our lists. Transferred over to LUHI and seemed to get real comfortable later on in the year. He can defend the post, score inside. A stud with a very high ceiling.

With a team of high flyers up and down elite athletes, it’s still nice to have the big man in the middle. Just ask Shaq! Now I’m not comparing Godswill to Shaq but he does have a nice power game. He is a rim protector who rebounds the ball equally as hard on both ends. Offensively he keeps possessions alive. On the defensive side he clears space and gets the break going. An extremely agile big man. Saw him when he was at Iona Prep in the Spring he possesses a quick spin in the post can finish with either hand and finesse it off the glass or throw it down. A future stud and already really good.

#12 Godswill only moved up a couple of spots from #16, but still it puts him in a significant spot. He is playing with Long Island Lutheran. He is a dominant force inside. Defensively he is a major rim protector. Has a wingspan that enables him to block shots when he seems to be out of the play. Offensively he gains position and holds it. Sets up wide and when he gets the post feed he showed the ability to use a quick spin move to score. I feel there is still room for him to climb up the list.
