My pick for the class A title was much more one sided. No one else but Matt should be the pick. Reported on many times during the season. An outstanding shooter. Showed his quick first step and ball handling to get to the rim. Creates contact and finishes. Outstanding deep range from beyond the arc. Also realizes when he needs to get the ball to an open teammate. He rebounds well from the guard spot. In the championship game he 29 points 6 rebounds 4 assists. In the semi final game he had 18 points and 8 assists. Showing he isnot only a prolific scorer but also does the things needed to win games.

Matt has been reported on many times throughout the year. On this night he became the Kings Park all time leading scorer. There is a rumor they will rename the trophy the “Garside” (just kidding) but he did surpass his brothers Jacks record the previous leader. Matt has unlimited range on a very smooth repeatable jump shot. He had 28 points in this game. He is able to get to the basket and convert old school three point plays as well. He is much more than just a scorer. He added 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the game.

The leading scorer in Suffolk county at 28 ppg. Matt has unlimited range. Extremely quick release. Comes off of screens ready to shoot it. Very fluid motion. Strong bodied can finish through contact. Has scored over 100 points from free throws alone.

We’ve done many reports on Matt over the years. This outstanding shooter is lifting his game to new heights. Strong body guard can handle the ball in traffic. A scorer who gets his teamates involved knowing it is best for his team to have other options. But when the game is on the line there is ice in his veins. Coach is very comfortable at the end of games because Matt will make the right decision. He is also automatic from the charity stripe.

Has won many shooting competitions. A flat out scorer of the ball. But make no mistake he has a complete game. Scores from all three levels . Handles the ball well. Makes the right play. Steady and in controll in all situations.
