Another guard on De Smet’s loaded roster, Thomas was efficient and confident throughout, finishing with 21 points on highly efficient shooting. He used his size and physicality from the perimeter to drive downhill, attack the basket, and draw fouls. Thomas complemented Boyd’s early aggression, creating a one-two punch that the Jaguars struggled to contain. De Smet’s relentless assault on the rim proved too much for Blue Springs South, allowing the Spartans to open up the game early in the second quarter and cruise to the championship.

You won’t see many wings in Columbia as physical as Thomas. He consistently uses his size and strength to his advantage, especially when he’s matched up against smaller perimeter defenders. An exceptional downhill driver, Thomas attacks the basket with force, using bumps, balance, and body control to finish through contact.
Throughout the season, he’s also shown the ability to heat up quickly, capable of going on scoring runs in just a few minutes of game time. His game seems to elevate in big moments as well — Thomas wants the ball in his hands when the game is on the line and isn’t afraid of the pressure that comes with it. Expect him to be aggressive in Columbia, leaving everything on the floor while asserting himself early and often.

Thomas battled foul trouble in the first half and, at times, looked out of rhythm trying to navigate Chaminade’s defensive intensity. But as high-level players often do, he adjusted.
In the second half, Thomas flipped the switch. He leaned into his size and physicality when attacking from the perimeter, playing through contact and using his shoulders to create separation off the bounce. Time and again, he was able to bump defenders off their spots and carve out space.
His ability to get to his left hand proved especially effective, consistently putting Chaminade’s on-ball defenders in tough positions and allowing him to exploit angles. Thomas also delivered timely baskets during De Smet’s second-half surge, helping fuel the comeback effort.
