Decker has had a bad run of injuries in his high school career but is 100% healthy and the results are showing. Ohio County is off to a 3-1 start and Elijah is averaging 18 points and 8 rebounds per game with 53% shooting from the field. The third region seems to be pretty wide open and a healthy Decker can make the Eagles a realistic threat to win it all in March.
Smith has really broken out under a new coach for the Trojans. After being more of a role player the last two seasons, the 6’2 guard has elevated his game this year. Averaging 20 points per game, Taveon has helped get his team to a 3-1 start and is helping to push the offense to a good pace where thy are putting up plenty of points on the young season.
Already known for his prowess as a shooter, Indred is showing that he needs to be considered among Kentucky’s best in the 24 class as he’s currently making 43% of his threes and is 12/13 at the free throw line through Somerset’s 2-1 start.
Highlights
Furnish has come a long, long way in the last two years and still has plenty of room to improve as he has yet to touch his ceiling as a prospect. Will is averaging 13 points per game on 71% shooting and has proven to be one of the state’s best shot blockers. The big man still needs to be a more aggressive rebounder but he’s starting to look like a future college player.
