One of the best student athletes in this class, Decker was regional player of the year after a great career for Ohio County. Elijah can play above the rim or knock down threes with deep range. Wherever he commits, he’ll be a nice piece.

A really athletic wing player who can score from the perimeter and post up smaller players, Decker is a high impact player that can affect both ends of the court. He’s been injured to start his Senior season but when he’s 100% there isn’t a better 2024 in the 3rd region.

Decker and Hand are very similar as Elijah is another player who can really get hot from behind the three point line and will also not hesitate to try and dunk on an opposing defender who gets in his way. A high academic prospect, Elijah has the physical tools to play at the scholarship level in college.

One of the best vertical athletes in the class, Decker often puts on a show in warmups. He averaged 17 and 8 this season for an Ohio County squad that had a good season with a disappointing finish. Elijah makes his living as a “modern basketball” aficionado in the sense that he lives on layups and threes. If he can score more in the midrange, his stock will keep trending up.

Decker has had a bad run of injuries in his high school career but is 100% healthy and the results are showing. Ohio County is off to a 3-1 start and Elijah is averaging 18 points and 8 rebounds per game with 53% shooting from the field. The third region seems to be pretty wide open and a healthy Decker can make the Eagles a realistic threat to win it all in March.
