If you thought I was done talking about transfers, you thought too soon. Here are a few lesser-known names that are stepping into new opportunities:

Kaleb started to make a name for himself in Louisville as a middle schooler at Lassiter but has since fallen off the scene due to injury from what I hear. After completing his freshman season at MHG Academy, he's returned to JCPS and made the move to Atherton to play for first-year Head Coach Demetrius Stanton, better known online as Deadstock Visuals. Now looking taller and more agile, expect Kaleb to be a crucial piece of the Ravens' offense as a lead ball handler and facilitator alongside 2028 [player_tooltip player_id='2870309' first='Christian' last='Shively']. The guard duo should have a ton of fun making plays for 2029 highflyer [player_tooltip player_id='3445667' first='Anthony' last='Wheat III'].

Peyton didn't find many varsity opportunities at Butler, but he should be in a position to contribute after making the move to DeSales. The Colts lost a majority of its scoring production to graduation, leaving a heavy lift for 2027s [player_tooltip player_id='2840326' first='Kaden' last='Dowlen'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2873015' first='Isaac' last='Delling']. Beyond those two, the rest of DeSales' roster has a lot to prove which leaves big windows of opportunity for guys like Peyton. His fearlessness as a shot maker and his potential as an on-ball defender could help him make a name for himself. Already off to a good start, he notably walked into a deep 3pt buzzer beater for game versus a solid LaRue County squad at the WKU team camp this past June.

25-26' Final Four contender, Grayson County, adds yet another piece to its roster, this time in Richardson who comes in from LaRue County. He's a big frame frontcourt piece that has the potential to operate as stretch 4 if he's able to knock down open shots consistently. Most of the state knows what to expect from Grayson's guard play, which features some of the top 2027s in Kentucky. A respectable post presence this upcoming season, however, could play a vital role in the Cougars push for back-to-back 3rd Region titles. Outside of his shooting potential, Trey has the physical tools to rebound and defend his position.

Andrew began competing on the varsity level as an 8th grader at Johnson Central where he stayed through his sophomore year. After a brief stint at Paintsville as a junior, he's transferred one final time to Martin County to round out his high school career. His varsity experience could set him up to be a valuable asset as a leader both on and off the court for the new look Cardinals.

Paintsville lost a few guys to the transfer portal that played supporting roles last season which Chase can help fulfill. Coming in from Martin County, he appeared in a majority of games for the Cardinals as a sophomore. Now approaching his junior campaign, he'll look to make a name for himself in new threads. His positional size and athleticism could be useful assets for the Tigers.
