Pair of Kentucky Prospects Receive D-I Offers in Dallas
The adidas Gauntlet kicked off this weekend in Dallas (Ft. Worth), Texas. A number of Kentucky grassroots programs participated in the @adidasUprising event, all having some success throughout. Quite a few Kentucky prospects showed out and impressed.
Only two Bluegrass prospects left Texas with offers. David Johnson (Louisville Trinity) of the Louisville Magic and Andrew Taylor (Corbin) of 22 Vision.
Johnson, who was ranked by scout.com as one of the top 50 2019 prospects in the country during the high school season, received offers from Xavier, Cincinnati, and Louisville. Johnson is a 6’5 point guard who is sure to get plenty more exposure playing with Louisville Magic and with Louisville Trinity High School, a Kentucky high school basketball powerhouse.
Taylor picked up an offer from Wright State to add to the handful of schools already on his table. Andrew had a huge weekend for 22 vision, averaging around 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. Against Team Bradley, Taylor shot 50% from the field to lead 22 Vision in scoring with 15 points. Taylor is one of Kentucky’s top prospects in the 2018 class. He averaged just under 30 points and 12 rebounds per game for Corbin this season.
