Top (KY) 2017’s Playing AAU
Some of Kentucky’s top 2017 prospects, who are undecided on their college destination, are participating with a number of high profile grassroots programs this summer.
David Sloan, Louisville Magic – 6’1 (PG)
Sloan was ruled ineligible by the KHSAA after transferring from Taylor County to Ballard HS in Louisville. He moved to Florida and played with for first-year program Conrad out of Orlando earlier in the season, then found a home competing with 22 ft Academy with his former high school coach from Taylor County. Sloan is still the same player that earned him the hype he received as a standout in the Bluegrass State.
He has a number of HM and MM offers already, including interest from Texas and Memphis.
Chance Moore, Louisville Magic – 6’5 (W)
Moore has had a great last few months. First, he helped lead Fern Creek to it’s first Kentucky state tournament appearance in school history. And this month he earned a score of 20 on his ACT and is sure to start drawing more interest from college coaches.
Chance averaged 16 points and 5 rebounds during his senior season, while shooting over 56% from the field.
Trace Young, Team Thad (NYC) – 6’7 (F)
Young will look to prove himself with Team Thad this summer. In 16 games with North Hardin earlier in the season, Young averaged 17.4 points and 6.8 rebounds.
Tavin Lovan, Team Thad (NYC) – 6’4 (G)
Lovan was hands-down one of the top players in the Bluegrass State this year. Averaging 26.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game for Franklin-Simpson, Lovan didn’t get the attention he deserved last summer leading into and throughout this past high school season. Look for Lovan’s phone to blow up with Team Thad.
