Prep Hoops Oregon Class 6A All State Team

As the various all state teams are released in the coming weeks, check and see how they compare to the Prep Hoops Oregon version. After watching live games, film, and practices throughout the year, we feel confident that our list truly represents the best players in 6A this season.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR:
Elijah Gonzalez 5’9/2017/Clackamas HS
The Portland State commit did it all in leading the Cavaliers to the state title game. His performance in the state tournament, 31 points per game including 40 in the semis, will go down as one of the all time great efforts in OSAA history.
1st Team
Geno West 6’3/2017/Jefferson HS
The tenacious combo guard earned PIL player of the year honors on his way to helping Jefferson win their first 6A state title. His 28 point effort in the championship victory was indicative of the way he played all season.
Jake Estep 6’5/2018/Beaverton HS
The Tigard transfer, has developed his ability to attack off the dribble to match his perimeter shooting. He was named first team All Metro on his way to leading the Beavers to their first state semi appearance in over 15 years.
Teegan Quitoriano 6’7/2018/Sprague HS
When asked to assess Quitoriano’s greatest skill, some scouts would reply with, he plays super hard all the time. His tremendous effort level, combined with solid post moves, and rebounding ability make him a match up nightmare for opponents. He helped carry the Oly’s to their first league title in over 20 years.
Kamaka Hepa 6’9/2018/Jefferson HS
The Alaska transfer is the highest rated player in the state of Oregon. He lived up to that national ranking this season with his unselfish play for the Demos. Scouts laud his passing ability and how he uses his length to alter shots on the defensive end of the floor.
2nd Team
Kyle Greeley 6’4/2018/West Salem HS
Talented combo guard, who can shoot it from deep & has a great basketball IQ, lead the Titans to their highest ever finish in school history (4th).
Marcus Tshonis 6’4/2019/Jefferson HS
The consummate do a little bit of everything player, Tshonis was arguably the most consistent player for the state champion Demos. He was one of four Jefferson players to earn first team all PIL recognition. Expected to have a big spring/summer playing for Portland Basketball Club.
Kelton Samore 6’8/2018/Grant HS
The highly skilled 6’8 forward earned all PIL honors while leading Grant to a 6th place finish at the state tournament. High basketball IQ and the ability to shoot to three make him a highly regarded college recruit.
Khalid Thomas 6’9/2017/West Linn HS
The lanky 6’9 forward, helped West Linn to a 3rd place finish at the 6A state tournament while leading the Lions in scoring & rebounding. He was also a force on the defensive end of the floor, where his ability to guard multiple positions was regularly utilized.
Braden Olsen 6’0/2017/West Linn HS
The Lions floor general who was a 4 year letterman and 3 time state champion, lead West Linn in assists while also scoring 14 points a game.
