About Athens

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a high-IQ, pure point guard known for his elite court vision, unselfish play, and relentless motor. I play with calm confidence, controlling the pace of the game and making smart decisions under pressure. I thrive in transition, I see the floor exceptionally well, and deliver precise passes that elevate my teammates’ play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a relentless competitor with a mature, team-first mentality. I lead with quiet confidence, show up consistently, and thrive under pressure. Known for my high basketball IQ, toughness, and ability to impact every possession, I don't get rattled—I know how to adjust, compete, and finds ways to win. I embrace hard work and carry himself with humility, letting my actions speak louder than words.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed as a leader and teammate, especially in my role as a point guard. I lead by example, communicate on and off the court, and stay focused under pressure. My coaches trust me to set the tone and make smart decisions in any situation. I also stay involved in the community and enjoy mentoring younger players; it’s helped me grow as a person and stay grounded beyond just basketball.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I wouldn’t say I’ve faced any major adversity. I've been really fortunate to have a supportive family, great coaches, and an amazing school community. If I had to point to one challenge, it’s that I drive about 2 hours roundtrip every day to get to school. It’s a big commitment, & I do miss out on some things socially or with family because of the time I spend on the road. But to me it’s worth it.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to play for a college that values toughness, discipline, and high-IQ basketball—a program where the culture is built on hard work, trust, and unselfish play. I’m looking for coaches who believe in development, hold players accountable, and compete at a high level every day. I want to be part of something bigger than myself, where I can grow as both a player and a person.
