Phoenix Gill Phoenix Gill 6'3" | SG St. Ignatius | 2025 State #72 Nation IL (St. Ignatius)
Gill established himself as one of the better 2025s in the state over the weekend particularly in a 16 point outing against Rich Township. The son of former NBA player Kendall Gill he has a long and lanky frame. Smooth ball handler that got where he wanted on the floor to operate. Creative with the ball and made plays with the rock in transition. Good looking shot and has the chance to be a playmaking guard with his feel for the game. Plus defender that guarded both backcourt spots.
Colby Smith Colby Smith 6'3" | PG New Trier | 2025 State IL (New Trier)
Really like the long term potential of this point guard from New Trier. Heady guard that has an off the charts passing feel at a young age. He makes sound decisions in the half court getting others involved. Quality size for his position.
Antonio Munoz Antonio Munoz 6'6" | SF Whitney Young | 2025 State #194 Nation IL (Whitney Young)
Munoz is one of the higher ranked wings in the class. Plus athlete with great size and athleticism. He serves as almost a post on a much smaller Dolphins squad than last season. Displayed versatility as a defender along with using his explosiveness in the open floor and on the offensive glass.
Jeremiah Fears Jeremiah Fears 6'1" | PG AZ Compass Prep | 2025 State #31 Nation AZ (Joliet West)
Fears can really go! Pushes the ball in the open floor and is dynamic with the rock in hands off the bounce. Shakes his opponents with his handles getting the in the teeth of the defense for floaters and finding shooters. Also a solid shooter with deep range!
Bryce Heard Bryce Heard 6'6" | SG Homewood Flossmoor | 2025 State #86 Nation IL (Kenwood)
Heard had a big weekend for Kenwood. The shooting guard operated both on and off the ball with Ames out for the weekend. His ability to consistently knock down threes was something that stood out to us. He has always been a good shooter, but it was nothing like we saw at Ridgewood. Silky smooth pull up game. Showed he could work around ball screens and was a solid passer.
Aleks Alston Aleks Alston 6'9" | PF Kenwood | 2025 State #170 Nation IL (Kenwood)
Been a big fan of Alston for a while and that continues each time we see him. He can operate anywhere from on the ball to playing up front at his size. The lefty has a really good shooting stroke both pulling up and off the catch. He can handle it in the open floor and has passing flair.
Ian Miletic Ian Miletic 6'5" | SF Rolling Meadows | 2025 State IL (Rolling Meadows)
Miletic is a point-forward that is an intriguing prospect with his overall skill package at his size. The kid can really shoot it off the catch with his lefty shot and his best asset is probably his passing as he can flat out dish the rock with the best of them as he has a tremendous feel at a young age.
Terrence Smith (West Aurora)
Smith has great tools to work with at about 6’4” with long arms and a frame to add strength. He can defend multiple positions and rebounds very well for a wing. Explosive athlete that showed improvements as a shooter from when we saw him in the spring.
Jonas Johnson Jonas Johnson 6'6" | PF DePaul Prep | 2025 State IL (DePaul Prep)
Johnson is a skilled face up four that actually did most of his damage around the hoop. Rebounded well in his area and displayed touch around the hoop. Very projectable long term prospect with his length and skill level.
Trey Taylor (Moline)
Taylor is a strong bodied 6’4” forward that brings a ton of physicality to the table for Moline. He finished around the hoop and brought energy to the team up front. Rebounds well for his position and is a crafty player that knows how to use his body.
Alex Vincent (OPRF)
Vincent is a five man that has legit size and strength early in the process. He is a quality area rebounder that showed off touch on a 10-15 foot shot in the game we caught.
