Fears is the most electrifying prospect I got to watch in person during the July Period. His ability to score from all three levels was sensational and he also adds a unique passing ability to his game that shouldn’t go unnoticed. Headed to play for Oklahoma and is reclassifying to 2024.

It should come as no surprise that one of the best point guards in the country was also the best player in the gym this past weekend at the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals. Fears led Hoops 4 Health Thompson to the championship game by scoring 20 in the quarterfinals, 18 in the semifinals, and 16 in the title matchup. However, his best performance came in a comeback win on Saturday as the four-star, Top 50 national prospect poured in 34 points along with 5 assists to defeat Reps317 .

play. Had a chase-down block early against M14 National to go along with a midrange jumper. Showed more aggression attacking the rim later on. Opened the 2nd half with a two-handed dunk and attempted a posterizing finish shortly after. But the best part of his game this morning was undoubtedly his playmaking abilities. Seemed to always find an open teammate whenever he was swarmed, leading to lots of assist chances.

No list of top performers from Saturday’s action would be complete without including this four-star, Top 50 national prospect. Fears suited up with Hoops 4 Health this weekend at the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals after decommitting from Illinois earlier in the week. The dynamic 6’2″ point guard went off for 34 points on Saturday morning in a comeback win over Reps317 . He has immediately become one of the most sought after prospects in the country after reopening his recruitment.

Fears was getting busy on Sunday morning with some tough buckets off the dribble in a win over Drive Nation. Getting to his spots and rising up, Fears was a tough cover in isolation. One of the more skilled point guards in the country, Fears also scored in transition when the floor opened up for him to attack the rim. Also making a couple impact defensive plays, Fears rose up for some big time blocked shot as a help-side defender. After starting the weekend 0-2, Indy Heat needed a win desperately to close out the weekend, Fears helped individually carry his team to a win on Sunday with a huge scoring outburst.

Fears is your prototypical scoring guard that can fill it up in a hurry. He can score from all three levels and has a great handle with quickness to his spots. In AZ Compass Prep’s win over Canyon International Academy on Saturday, Jeremiah scored 14 points in the third quarter alone knocking down all 4 of his attempts from behind the arc. He also has a knack for fitting through tight spaces and finishing around bigger bodies, which he showcased in the fourth quarter and against Legacy Early College on Friday Night. Jeremiah can even make some plays on the defensive end, frequently jumping passing lanes or picking the pocket of his defensive assignment.

Jeremiah had 18 points, 6 rebounds, three 3’s, and 4 steals in AZ Compass Prep’s loss to Wasatch Academy on Friday afternoon. Fears made plays on both ends in what was a tough matchup with the Wasatch Academy guard duo of Isiah Harwell and John Mobley Jr, as he was able to beat them off the dribble and attack the basket effectively (6/12 from the field). Jeremiah is also a threat from beyond the arc off the catch or dribble and provides floor spacing to his offense.

Jeremiah showed good patience/composure, passing vision, and touch in the paint during games against Montverde, Prolific Prep and a win over LV Orange (Bishop Gorman) this weekend. He showed good creativity and the ability to find different ways to finish around much bigger defenders, the vision and patience to let plays like a pick n’ roll develop to hit the roll man late or skip the ball, and the toughness to draw contact and get to the free throw line.
