Brendan Hoffman Brendan Hoffman 6'3" | SG George Washington | 2023 WV | 6’3 Wing/Guard | George Washington | 2023
Hoffman was an exciting prospect to watch play at Radford Elite Camp out of George Washington High in West Virginia. He was an active presence during drills, using his passing and shooting to separate himself from others. He also showed strong instincts as a creator off the bounce and off the catch during the 5-on-5 games. He’s a name to know out of the state of West Virginia given what he can do on the floor.
Sam Whitehead Sam Whitehead 6'3" | SG Stone Bridge | 2023 State VA | 6’3 Wing/Forward | Stone Bridge (LBA Attack) | 2023
Whitehead was sort of a three-headed monster alongside Hoffman and Jacob Crain as he played the anchor on defense and versatile playmaker that could play inside and out a bit for his squad. He showed off the ability to be a quality teammate with his ability to space the floor as a shooter and crashed the boards when needed to make things happen in the paint. He’s a prospect out of Northern Virginia that DII schools should keep an eye on.
Evan Ashe Evan Ashe 6'3" | CG Winchendon | 2023 State NC | 6’2 Guard | Winchendon (Juice All-Stars) | 2023
Ashe is a prospect that’s come a long way in the development process as he’s increased his overall strength and his athleticism. He showed leadership from a vocal standpoint during drills and brought the energy to the gym with his ability to finish with authority. He showed off an ability to operate off the bounce where playmaking and paint touches were a priority. As he shows he can knock down shots with consistency on the perimeter and in the midrange, his stock is due to grow at Winchendon as he does a prep year.
Kam Roberts | 6’4 Guard | Hargrave Military (Team Loaded NC 3SSB) | 2023
Roberts is an intriguing prospect with room to grow in VA’s 2023 class. While he tends to fall in love with the jumper at times, he’s hard to stop getting downhill and using his frame to finish in the paint. As he shows he can get to the rim and make things happen and get to the free-throw line, his stock is due to grow in 2022-23.
Chris Fields | 6’6 Forward | Petersburg (VA Bulls) | 2023
Fields is an underrated name in the 2023 class in Virginia hailing from Petersburg High. He’s a dual-forward prospect with the ability to finish with authority in the paint and knock down shots on the perimeter. He can handle and create his own shot in space and also showed he could be a presence on the defensive end as a rim-protector and rebounder. DIs and DIIs would be wise to track him.
Zion Walker Zion Walker 6'2" | PG The Burlington School | 2024 State NC | 6’0 Guard | The Burlington School (Team Curry) | 2024
Walker was one of the stars of the show in the second session of Radford Elite Camp given his ability to play hard-nosed defense and make tough plays off the bounce. He showed off his fearlessness with made shots on all three levels whether guard-closely or scoring on bigger defenders in the paint. He’s a tough opponent to guard when he’s in rhythm. Radford University extended him an offer by the conclusion of the event.
Jacob Crain | 6’2 Guard | Foundation Academy (MOAM 2024) | 2024
Crain is a long, wiry guard that was the third of the three-headed monster alongside Sam Whitehead Sam Whitehead 6'3" | SG Stone Bridge | 2023 State VA and Brendan Hoffman Brendan Hoffman 6'3" | SG George Washington | 2023 WV as he showed off an ability to crash the boards, make plays and knock down shots on the perimeter. He played with a ton of energy during the 5-on-5 games while showing he could operate on the wing with and without the ball in his hands. He’s a prospect in Florida’s 2024 class to watch over the next few seasons.
Kaedon Porter Kaedon Porter 6'3" | CG Red Springs | 2024 State NC | 6’1 Guard | Red Springs ( Team Trezz ) | 2024
Porter was another rising 2024 prospect that showed off an ability to do multiple things in the backcourt. He’s a shifty guard with some athleticism in his game that can shoot the ball. As he learns to be a more vocal leader in the backcourt, look for his stock to grow in the state of North Carolina.
Kolier Pruett | 6’4 Guard/Wing | Narrows (GATA Academy) | 2024
Pruett was a standout at Radford Elite Camp given his solid frame at 6-foot-4 as well as his ability to operate in the halfcourt as a presence on the glass and perimeter. He showed off quite the floor game with his ball-handling and range on the perimeter and didn’t back down on the defensive end, either. He’s a name out of SW Virginia to watch in the 2024 class.
Zion Crowe | 6’4 Forward/Wing | Springfield Shawnee (Dayton Elite) | 2024
Crowe showed off a knack for handling the ball with his quickness and athleticism and was even more of a presence when rebounding the ball as he showed with some athletic putbacks on that end as well. He was the final standout from Session II given his strength and ability to make things happen with the ball in his hands. DII and DIII schools would be wise to track him, as he’s also a standout on the football field.
