Other seniors have had flashier scoring numbers this season. There’s a few casual fans that might be shocked by Dow’s production or how he does it. But here’s nothing deceptive about Dow’s athleticism. He covers ground in large chunks from racing down the court to make a defensive play in transition to acrobatically finishing around the rim. He has been a terror for the last two seasons, making college level plays on both ends of the court. And when Broken Arrow has needed a player to produce in the biggest moments, it’s been Dow.
Thursday evening was no different. He set the tone with a pair of deep threes. But after that his usually reliable three point shot didn’t fall quite as sweetly as it usually does. That didn’t matter as he started knifing through Norman’s defense, avoiding defenders on the way there and at the rim. The future OSU Cowboy punctuated the contested with a pair of slams in the fourth. Sealing Broken Arrow’s first return to the Class 6A Semifinals since 2018. Dow finished with 22 points, on 9-14 shooting from the field.

Dow was getting his point in the flow of the offense at the beginning of this game. He had several points off the back door cut and was able to get out on the fastbreak and get a few easy lay-ups. Toward the end of the first half, he was able to get open to knock down a three-pointer and put his team up by eight going into halftime. In the second half, he was able to consistently get open for both contested and uncontested looks from the three-point line.

DO NOT LEAVE HIM OPEN! Dow is one of the reasons BA can be so deadly inside because you must constantly shade to him on defense because their is no hesitation from the time the ball touches his hands to it falling through the net when he’s got a clean look, providing the spacing for intentional paint touches by the Tigers. Dont get twisted Connor is more than just a 3pt specialist, but scrappy on defensive and intentional on fast breaks finding his lane getting in position to finish.

Broken Arrow remained the only unbeaten team in Class 6A with a win over Mustang to capture the Shawnee Invitational championship. The Tigers beat Mustang for the second time this season in a tourney title game after beating them at the Bishop Kelley tourney back in December. It was much closer this time around but the end result was still the same. The Tigers got the win and senior star and OSU signee

walked away with MVP honors for the tournament. Dow is one of the best players in the state right now but what makes him and the Tigers so scary as a contender in Class 6A is their depth and production around him. He doesn’t have to play Superman every night, averaging 30 points per game. But don’t get it twisted, if the Tigers need that kind of performance, Dow can do it.

. The future Cowboy is one of the best pure shooters in the state and that was on full display on Tuesday night. Dow would bury a pair of three-pointers in the third quarter as the Tigers would put the Rams in the hole that they couldn’t overcome. Dow was incredibly efficient from the field when it came to shooting. The Tigers as a team would struggle from the free throw line but Dow was perfect from the charity stripe. Dow would score eight first quarter points as he got out to a hot start but sat for the majority of the second quarter as he was sidelined with foul trouble. Dow was smart about his play in the third quarter and never got back into foul problems. Dow has proven to be one of the top scorers in the state on any given night.

has had a few weeks of showcasing what some of our writers saw throughout the offseason while he played for Team Griffin. Dow’s game reached an all time high this offseason and he became hands down one of the top overall prospects in the state’s 2023 class. Now that we’re a few weeks into his senior season, he has backed up all of the hype and then some. And what’s scary is the fact that the Tigers haven’t needed Dow to play Superman for them so far this season. That’s because of the depth and skill in this Broken Arrow lineup. But we’ve also seen Dow start to flirt with that Superman label. He’s had performances where he heats up in the blink of an eye and puts up 20 in a single half and has made it look easy. As the competition gets tougher, we expect him to continue to elevate his game.

. The senior would finish with 22 points and led a very balanced Tiger attack as they beat up on the Trojans from start to finish. The Tigers not only look like arguably the best team on the east side in 6A, we need to take them seriously as a state championship contender in 6A. Their closest win came earlier this week against Booker T Washington when they won 72-55. Dow has been terrific this season but he also has quite a bit of help around him. The Tigers will head to Orlando in two weeks to play in a national tournament. We’re looking forward to seeing if they get challenged during the three days in Florida.

earned MVP honors and showed why he’s one of the top overall players in the state throughout the tourney. We caught Dow in person on Friday night when he caught fire in the first half, going for 20+ points in the first two quarters in a win over Edison. Dow had everything going for him on the offensive end. The Tigers have another big week this week where they can add to their resume as the top east side team in Class 6A. They’ll host Booker T Washington on Tuesday and travel to Jenks on Friday.

struggled shooting the ball, but still displayed why he is committed to a school like Oklahoma State. He was absolutely dominant on the defensive end. He harassed the ball-handler the whole game and came away with four steals. Wherever the offensive player went, he was there, two steps ahead. He also came away with a couple of blocks. He showed patience and good court-vision to constantly break the press. Despite his shooting being off in this game, he contributed by shooting efficiently from the free throw line, finishing an alley-oop dunk, and making good passes to cutting teammates for an assist. He added a few rebounds to his box score, as well. His team pulled away with this for an easy victory.

This time last year, Dow was a lanky shooter with “deceptive athleticism”. Now he’s signed with Oklahoma State, seasoned from a spring and summer battling the nation’s best and looks ready to help the Tigers be a State Title contender in 6A. He’s still a pure shooter, but with increases to his strength and confidence, Dow is one of the most complete players in the state. The future Cowboy was a terror during scrimmages this past month.
