First Region:
Favorite: McCracken County – The Mustangs graduated a bunch but show no signs of slowing down.
In the Mix: Paducah Tilghman, Graves County, Murray, Marshall County (if Zion is healthy)
Second Region:
Favorite: Lyon County. You could make an argument for Webster County but Lyon won the head to head.
In the Mix: Webster County, Madisonville North-Hopkins
Third Region:
Favorite: Owensboro Catholic. This is probably the heaviest favorite in Western Kentucky. They should roll through region.
In the Mix: Muhlenberg County, Owensboro
Fourth Region:
Favorite: Bowling Green. The Purples have been rolling this season for the most part and will be tough for anyone in the 4th to stop.
In the Mix: Warren Central, Barren County, Clinton County.
Fifth Region:
Favorite: Elizabethtown. Their only loss is to John Hardin but they have a loaded, veteran team ready to cut nets again.
In the Mix: John Hardin, Bardstown
Sixth Region:
Favorite: DeSales. They have beaten most of the best in Louisville this season but the region is really balanced.
In the Mix: Pleasure Ridge Park, Doss, Fern Creek, Bullitt East
Seventh Region:
Favorite: Ballard. They were rolling before a double OT loss to Trinity this week. The 7th region is always hard to predict.
In the Mix: Trinity, Male, St. Xavier, Eastern, CAL, Manual
Eighth Region:
Favorite: Oldham County. I think they’re the heavy favorite thanks to their depth but they are capable of being beaten any given night.
In the Mix: Spencer County, Simon Kenton, Collins, Woodford County
Ninth Region:
Favorite: Covington Catholic. St. Henry is right in the mix after beating CCH this week. A pretty open region.
In the Mix: St. Henry, Highlands, Dixie Heights, Beechwood
Tenth Region:
Favorite: George Rogers Clark. They started the season impressively but injuries and Covid have slowed them down.
In the Mix: Montgomery County, Mason County, Campbell County
Eleventh Region:
Favorite: Lexington Catholic. The rich got richer recently with a big transfer. They’re going to be hard to beat.
In the Mix: Frederick Douglass, Dunbar, Madison Central
Twelfth Region:
Favorite: Boyle County. This region is very open but Boyle has looked the best of all of them so far.
In the Mix: Somerset, Pulaski County, Lincoln County, East Jessamine, West Jessamine
Thirteenth Region:
Favorite: North Laurel. They’re steamrolling everyone and look capable of competing for a state title in March.
In the Mix: Harlan County, South Laurel, Knox Central, Corbin
Fourteenth Region:
Favorite: Hazard. Another region that is wide open. Any number of teams could get hot and win this one.
In the Mix: Breathitt County, Knott County Central, Wolfe County
Fifteenth Region:
Favorite: Johnson Central. They were already the favorites before a season ending injury derailed Pikeville.
In the Mix: Shelby Valley, Belfry, Paintsville
Sixteenth Region:
Favorite: Ashland Blazer. They aren’t rolling like they were a year ago and Rowan just knocked them off in OT. This is a close call.
In the Mix: Rowan County, Boyd County, West Carter
