George Washington George Washington 6'0" | PG St. Michael's | 2020 KY III, CAL (Manimal 15u) – One of the newest imports to our state, “G” is already in talks of being the top player in the 2023 class. Showcasing a high basketball IQ and shifty handle, Washington is able to make shots from deep or shot fake a defender and get to the rim. CAL has been a middle of the pack team in the 7th region for years but Washington could be a difference maker this season.
Kaleb Glenn Kaleb Glenn 6'7" | SF La Lumiere | 2023 #64 Nation IN , Male (Manimal 15u) – Recently ranked in the top 50 in America by 247 sports, the young man that’s been called a “big guard” for a while is finally show that’s exactly what he can be. Glenn has clearly been working and developing his game this summer and it shows as he is comfortable away from the basket and with the ball in his hand in a way that he hasn’t seemed before.
Jaiden Lawrence, Warren Central (Vision) – The Dragons have to replace a ton from their 4th region title squad and Lawrence will have a chance to be the man this year ahead of a talented Sophomore group. A scoring wing, Jaiden poured in 29 in one game on Saturday and is going to have a chance to impress this season after waiting his turn the last two years at Central.
Cade Hilt, Dunbar (Cave Gym Elite) – A strong guard who can bully his way to the rim, Hilt has had a good showing in the fall league for the Cave Gym team that is predominantly a group of Dunbar kids who have been playing together for a while. After being more of a role player as a Sophomore, look for Hilt to make strides this season as more of a scorer for Coach Chalk’s team.
Cade Stinnett Cade Stinnett 6'3" | SG Greenwood | 2022 State KY , Greenwood (Manimal 16u) – Mr. Fundamental, Cade isn’t going to blow anyone away with any aspect of his game but then you look up and he’s got 15-20 points on a handful of shots. Skilled and a hard worker, Stinnett is going to have a chance to be one of the best players in the 4th region for the next two years.
Lavonte Harris, PRP (Louisville Storm) – Another kid who has waited his turn at a traditional basketball power, Harris has been a breakout star for the Storm this entire fall league and looks like he’s going to be able to be a big factor in the 6th region title race this season. Able to play inside and out, Lavonte is going to surprise a lot of folks in the 502 this season.
