The Expo: 3v3 Top Performers

All of our events at Prep Hoops Indiana generate a lot of attention across the state. However, the growth of The Expo is a major point of pride for our team as we wrap up the summer. This year we double the size of the event bringing in nearly 120 prospects in the Classes of 2027 and 2028. Also, more than just the raw numbers, the level of talent was very impressive. We hosted over 40 Top 100 prospects today and had college coaches from the Division II, Division III, and NAIA levels in attendance. This was truly one of the best exposure events of the year that you could attend as a prospect.   As always, we will be unleashing a ton of content over the next week or so coming out of The Expo. We will have evaluations of every player in attendance post on a team-by-team basis. Also, top performers, new names, and more will be highlighted.   Below are some observations from the opening 3v3 sessions. Brody Bolen has a chance to be a really good player inside. He flashed being very good on defense, with good hands to block and create turnovers. On offense he fights through contact well on his way to the rim. Made a couple of off-balance jumpers in the first game. Good player with high effort.     Josaphat Kanyinda caught my attention right away with his athleticism and frame. He's a big, tall, long-limbed center with high upside. Kanyinda is a big inside presence and is very good on defense, blocking shots and creating steals on penetrating dribblers. He can dunk, flashes dominance on offense and ability to be a big-time player.     Jaxon Paris struck me as the best all-around player during all six of the 3v3 sessions. Very consistent at getting open around the rim and driving to the basket. Has the range to shoot from deep, and is an instinctive passer who can find open teammates. Can work through contact and still get to the hoop.     Max Buening is a problem for opposing offenses. What stands out about him is his effort on defense. Just a really scrappy player who chases down loose passes, displays good timing with his hands to force steals, and plays with a good base. Really came alive on offense late in the game, hitting a couple of pull-up jumpers.     DJ Nash impressed me with his size, frame and ability to drunk. Big and tall. Is an exceptional rebounder, boxes out effectively and goes up for the ball. Well-put-together player with long arms that make it difficult to shoot over. Good dribble-and-drive to the basket. Really good player on defense.     Jacob Wilkerson is a very good player on offense and a good shooter who follows through in his motion. Made a couple of very good put-back jumpers around the rim in the first game. Can draw contact in the lane and still make shots, great finisher. One of the better vocal leaders of the day.
