Prep Ball Stars Elite Players Only - Week 3 Standouts

Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage at Finch Creek Fieldhouse of Elite Players Only hosted by Prep Ball Stars. This even features open gym style games between many of the top players in the greater Indianapolis area. It is always a great event and a sort of tuneup prior to the more structured Fall Leagues that get going in September and October. Here are some of the prospects who stood out during week three of Elite Players Only.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    You can always count on Bowling III to bring a certain level of production. He is one of those guys who is simply always involved in the action and knows how to put the ball in the basket. The 6'5" wing lives above the rim as a finisher, but also has a crafty mid-range and intermediate finishing package. He can rise up above the defense with his athleticism and length and use either hand to finish. Bowling III is also a good positional rebounder and disruptive defender.     Colbert Jr. may be one of the smaller guards in attendance, but he is also among the most fearless. The 5'8" explosive playmaker is a relentless driver and does such a good job of finishing against size when he gets to the rim. He uses a variety of dribble moves to attack the paint and is a creative finisher. The senior point guard from Decatur Central High School is always going to set the pace when he has the ball in his hands. Intriguing prospect to follow this season.     One of a couple Pike High School prospects we will be talking about coming out of Wednesday's Elite Players Only games, Garner continues to be fantastic this summer. He is starting to establish himself not just as a scholarship-level prospect, but a potential Division I-level prospect. Garner is a legit 6'8" with a strong build and moves fluidly for his size. The combination of shot-making ability from the perimeter and rebounding ability inside makes him a unique prospect. We are very high on him here at Prep Hoops Indiana.     There is obviously a ton of talent coming through the program at Pike High School right now. We quickly identified this 6'5" wing as a major stock-riser earlier this summer and he continues to prove us right. Smith is a long, athletic two-way wing that can really catch-and-shoot from the perimeter. He was knocking in three-point shots, finishing with two-handed dunks at the end of his drives, and jumping the passing lanes defensively. High upside prospect in Indiana's Class of 2028.     The Gardner Jr. and Zachary backcourt obviously gets a ton of attention, but [player_tooltip player_id='2470635' first='Levi' last='Walker'] has established himself as a borderline Division I prospect this summer as well. He is a 6'4" wing with elite athleticism and catch-and-shoot ability. Walker is really shooting it well and did so once again on Wednesday at Elite Players Only. We are excited to see where his recruitment lands as his senior season gets started.     We have been very high on Wilson since first seeing him at our Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase last fall. He is now signed up for our Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp as well. On Wednesday night flashed some of his upside by knocking down an elbow jump shot and a catch-and-shoot three-pointer from the corner. He has a smooth, projectable stroke as a 6'7" lefty. However, it is Wilson's defensive presence that makes him a Top 10 long-term prospect. He has a chance to be one of the best interior defenders in the state of Indiana.     It shouldn't come as any surprise that we simply have to write about Zachary. In the second game of the evening he had a stretch that including making four progressively deeper and more difficult pull-up three-point shots off of the dribble. His ability to create separation on the perimeter and make tough shots is so impressive. The recent Florida Gulf Coast commit was, as usual, one of the best players in the gym all night long.
