He stayed calm when put under pressure, and is an unselfish guard who was constantly looking to get his teammates involved. Throughout the game I never saw him take a bad shot or make an errant pass. One of a handful of young Apple Valley guards I saw at the event.

Nisight is a scrappy on-ball defender who was relentless with his ball pressure throughout the course of the game. Seak did a great job of fighting to get over screens out on the perimeter, and showed good quickness moving laterally to cut off his man when he looked to penetrate. Offensively he has a shifty handle with the quickness to beat his initial defender off the dribble. Showcased a quick release on his pull-up jumper that could make defenders pay for going under screens against him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2839151' first='Dalton' last='Birr'] provided an extra ball handling option for his team. He changes direction quickly and has a tight handle that helped him perform when put under pressure by opposing guards. I really liked his effort picking up full-court and defending the length of the floor after just about every bucket his team scored. Showed good patience to come to a jump-stop, get his defender in the air with a shot-fake, and then go up for an easy finish in one of his transition opportunities. Even when double-teamed, Dalton stayed calm and found ways to get free of the trap and get his team a numbers advantage going forward.

Lucas was a physical presence inside for a team that lacked any true size down low. He used his strong frame to play a bit bigger than his 5'11 listed height would suggest, boxing out taller players to help control the glass on the defensive end. Also showed he can push the pace by taking an outlet pass and quickly getting up the floor before dishing out an assist to a slashing teammate. Lucas ran the floor hard for a really crafty reverse lay-up in transition in the second half. Also capped off the game hitting a three from the wing.

Landon is an energetic defender who came up with some extra effort plays throughout the game I watched on Sunday. Early in the game he sprinted back on defense to poke the ball free from behind, stopping what would have been an easy lay-up for his opponent. Shortly after that play he sprinted the floor for an easy transition bucket of his own. When attacking the basket he did a nice job of not getting sped up and keeping his balance to finish his looks with efficiency. He's a 6' wing out of Eastview with the length and athleticism to defend the 1-3 spots, and I really like the way he competed throughout the event.

Mizaye was a go-to scoring option for Team 20. He has a long and lanky frame that he doesn't look near finished growing into, yet he managed to stay under control when attacking the basket. Mizaya does a great job of playing off two feet in the paint, allowing him to either go up balanced or pivot and locate a kick-out pass to get out of trouble. Woods can either go straight up to finish through contact, or score with touch over the top with his left hand. He was one of the best players on the floor in the game I watched against Team 17.
