Watch List 2030 Post Prospects in Illinois

***Use Code “ScottyB30” for 30% off your subscription*** Time to dive into our initial PHI 2030 Watch List!  This is a list of 35 prospects that have showed promise of future potential in settings where our scouts evaluated throughout the spring and summer.  We know there are a ton of players we need to see and will see going forward!  This is just a VERY EARLY look at the class.  Also this is NOT A RANKING!  There is no order.  Prospects in this position preview are listed alphabetically!   Here are the Big Men in Prep Hoops Illinois first 2030 Watch List!    Baker shined in multiple settings we saw him this summer with both Rockford Guilford and Team FVV. Long and lanky 6'6” power forward that will need to add strength long term, but has a ton of projectability in his frame. Super quick to the offensive glass converting second chance points in bunches. Fluid athlete who gets up and down the floor with ease and displays nice footwork early in the process on his post moves. Can also stretch it out to three with a clean looking three point shot. Has the tools to be a monster on the defensive end as a back end rim protector with switchability.     Johnson checks in at 6'6” pushing 6'7” early in the process. Inside/outside prospect that plays and looks a little like Nate Ament. Johnson has shown he can stretch with a clean looking jumper while on the defensive end is a game changer with his ability to close space and swat shots.     The 6'4” four man is a broad shouldered post that plays with a ton of physicality and toughness as an impactful rebounder. Rebounds well on both ends of the floor, converts around the cup, and is a quality interior defender. Played up on the 15U level in the spring and held his own.     Jones should be a plug and play guy early in the process for and Evanston team who has goals of state. The 6'5” broad shouldered four man is a high motor player that rebounds very well. Finishes in the paint with power along with touch on his hook shot.     Marshall like his older brother who is a football standout at Michigan looks to be one of the better two sport stars in the 2030 class. As a hooper he is a 6'4” power forward that rebounds at a high level and is an enforcer on the backend of the defense. Very good passer being a connective piece at a young age. Look for him to contribute from day 1 on the hardwood for the Friars.     Mason made an impression for PAC Elite as a 6'5” four man displaying quality hands and footwork at a young age. He can stretch with his shot making looking very comfortable letting it fly from beyond the arc knocking in shots. Bounce above the rim already as well!     Nicholson caught our attention as a 6'6” four man from O'Fallon that has some raw tools to work with. Size, frame, natural rebounder that goes after them aggressively, and is a quality defender in the paint.     Sandifer has one of the more interesting profiles in this class. He is about 6'4” and if he continues to grow he could be a monster in the public league! Love the energy he plays with game in and game out. High level athlete that is quick twitched and runs the floor with ease. Spin moves on the block and overall athletic finishes at the cup. Dominant defensive rebounder that takes pride in the defensive end.     Smith jumped off the floor for Meanstreets 14U at The Tune Up in July. Checking in at 6'7” with a long and wiry frame he should continue to grow. Finishes out of the dunker spot, gets second chance points on the offensive glass, and can even shoot it a little showing some touch on a three ball. Defensively he could be one of the best early in the process with his ability to wall up and block shots.     Stewart caught our attention with Meanstreets 14U EYBL squad in the spring at Chi-Town Tip Off as they played up in the 15U level. The pure size as a true five man with his coordination of movement skills is impressive. Good hands and feet for a young post. The verticality and shot blocking on defensive end are huge assets in his game. Also flashed some touch in the mid-range as a shooter. Could be one of the headliners of the class.     Taylor is a 6'4” four man who brings broad shoulders and a frame to continue to add strength. Fits right in early for the Flyers as a quality rebounder coming off the varsity bench along with being able to catch lobs from his teammates.     Wyatt is a pogo stick type athlete! He wowed at The Tune Up where the East St. Louis power forward lived above the rim in multiple games. Beast on the offensive glass, caught lobs, and ran the floor for dunks. The quick second jump is elite around the rim! That athleticism is also shown on the defensive end with his rim protection and active hands defending on the perimeter. Top 1 percent athlete at his size with his motor is a great start!
