The top player from New Jersey made the move to Spire where he creates a backcourt trio of himself, [player_tooltip player_id='2238210' first='King' last='Gibson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2194337' first='Darrell' last='Davis'] that could be the best in the country. Gordon is incredibly talented on the ball and had a monster EYBL season with PSA Cardinals as his ball handling and isolation scoring talent was on full display. Gordon has also been rising in the national rankings as undersized guards have been some of the most impactful college players and Gordon is as talented as almost anybody in the country offensively. I'll be curious to see how much Spire utilizes the three-guard system as many of Kevin Boyle's best teams were built on being bigger and longer and suffocating opponents defensively with their length and rebounding. This team is built in a very different way but could be just as talented.

A post grad guard from the DMV area, Rojas Joy didn't have the recruitment he felt like he deserved after the 2026 high school season. I caught Rojas Joy with WV Gold in Richmond during the first July live period and he stood out with his ability on the ball as a pick and roll ball handler, playmaker for others and perimeter shot maker. While Rojas Joy impressed me the first live period weekend, he had games of 37 and 46 points on back-to-back days during the final July live period with WV Gold. That type of explosion tells me Rojas Joy is a prospect who could blow up as a post grad player on the Elite Prep League circuit and is a name regional Division I and II programs need to check out.

Jackson is a prospect on the move in northeast Ohio as the former Lorain guard joins the back-to-back Division IV state runner up. Jackson will provide natural scoring ability off the ball as he can fill it up in a hurry. With his athleticism and frame, Jackson has the ability to be an impact defender as well. His addition makes sense as Glenville has won with defense and needed another scorer to help fill in for the seniors who graduated last year. It will be interesting to see how Jackson performs in marquee matchups this season with the Tarblooders.

CMAC guards Jones and [player_tooltip player_id='2453391' first='Keion' last='Griffin'] made the transfer to West Clermont to form one of the top backcourt duos in the ECC and greater Cincinnati area. Jones is a winning lead guard as he helped Hughes win the CMAC last season and could provide similar impact at West Clermont. Jones is an exceptional defender who should finish near the top of the ECC in both assists and steals. Cincinnati basketball fans should be checking out West Clermont this season as they have the potential to be one of the most improved teams in the state with their combination of transfers and returners to the program.

Brush has a young team with a lot of size and talent but Dudley is the senior point guard who will hope to set his teammates up in positions to score. Dudley is quick on the ball and does a nice job balancing between being a scorer and a playmaker for others. The Arcs should be one of the better teams in northeast Ohio in Division III once again this season and it wouldn't surprise me to see them make a deep run if Dudley plays as well as I saw him at midwest Live in June.
