Five Uncommitted 2027 Minnesota Prospects NAIAs should look to

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>NAIA does not have teams in Minnesota but there are several NAIA programs that are in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa that recruit Minnesota and here are some names that I think should be on their radar. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Who do the NAIA schools compete with for players? I would say NAIA teams have to try and sell Minnesota kids to leave the state and to do so they try and sell a full scholarship against kids going to a division two school on a partial, or to good MIAC schools where there are obvious ways to have a cheaper tuition but there are no scholarships to give (when a kid says they got an offer from a MIAC or UMAC or WIAC team it's an offer to play on their team, not a scholarship offer). </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Basically NAIA schools are selling a full scholarship and playing time but kids have to move out of Minnesota to do it. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>So with that said, here are the top five guys that I think NAIA programs should be on. I don't know that he would get a full Northern Sun option but I think some will look at him for a partial, I think he could play in the MAIC but I could also seeing doing very well in NAIA.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We have seen versatile guards from Minnesota go to NAIA and have excellent careers, the type of guards that can play both spots but really score. That is what we have seen from Austin the last five months. Both Richfield and [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] have benefited at the Class AAA and 17U respective levels from his shooting touch and I think Hagler is one of the best shooters in the state. Both players are at 6'0 or just under, both can really shoot it and playmake, but both have that main ball handler part to their game as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Thompson had a solid 17u season with Hoop Habits and is coming off of a 17 point per game season that led the Lakers in scoring. There have been times we've seen Hynes score three or four threes in a flash, make a couple pull-up jumpers, and smoothly go to the rim and make a play.
