EYBL Peach Jam: 2027 Complete Package Combo Guards

The Nike EYBL Peach Jam tourney is the tournament of all tournaments to cap off a huge grassroots season every summer in South Carolina. The nation's top prospects all gather under one roof with a plethora of college coaches present to evaluate talent and media to capture every single moment and highlight. Here are some combo guards who caught my attention with some high-level performances all week.    Point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2194891' first='Cayden' last='Daughtry'] was the highlight story of Peach Jam that had everyone in attendance and online buzzing. Averaging over 30 points and 6 assists per game, Cayden was an essential part of the Florida Rebels taking home a Peach Jam championship win during the concluding game of the tournament. He makes scoring look easy, no matter the size of his opponent and he fights for loose balls and crashes the glass as a guard on both sides of the ball. Daughtry certainly made his case for top guard in the nation in the class of 2027, at least top 3. Cayden is vocal on defense, and this leads to his team capitalizing on fastbreaks and he knows how to compete with intensity and fight 100% of the time. Cayden has an official visit to Iowa scheduled for September 11th, and currently has Florida State, Miami, Michigan, and AZ State offers.     Every game that [player_tooltip player_id='2112009' first='Beckham' last='Black'] played during the week of Peach Jam had the stands filled with college coaches, media, and spectators alike. Black has impressive transition speed when driving downhill and he sets up impressive dimes to teammates for easy assists. He had some key three pointers that he drained over closing out defenders in one-on-one scenarios and his confidence in his shot making definitely bodes well for AB Elite and his collegiate level prowess. Black is currently still gaining more offers, but some of his notable ones are Georgetown, Texas, Arkansas, Auburn, and California.     Harris excels at attacking the basket due to his strong frame and size at the shooting guard position. He absorbs contact and has impressive footwork in the post, despite sometimes fighting against taller opposition. He has developed a consistent perimeter jumper as well that keeps defenders honest and only increases his threat to score more efficiently. His defense is well versed off ball screens as he can switch onto perimeter players due to impressive lateral quickness and reflexes. Harris was a key part of the Florida Rebels clinching a Peach Jam championship. He currently has offers from Providence, Missouri, Georgia, Florida State, and Virgina Tech.     Jamaal McKnight was lethal off the pick and roll as the ballhandler during Peach Jam in several of Team Durant's games they competed in. Jamaal controls the pace of the game well at all times, making sure his team maintains momentum throughout the contest and he also is adept at surveying the floor and keeping his teammates involved in the scoring column. His assist numbers were impressive throughout the course of the entire week and his points per game also showcased his ability to score from all three levels. Averaging 14 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals only helps explain his impact in all statistical columns. McKnight currently possesses offers from California, Tennessee, Virigina Tech, TCU, and Penn State.     The #1 ranked player in Wisconsin had himself quite the week at the EYBL Peach Jam, helping [program_tooltip program_id='2391400' first='Team' last='Herro'] make it to the final of the Peach Jam championship and putting on impressive performances all week. His main attribute that stood out to me was in isolation where he never hesitated to take his opponent to the basket and he also made defenses pay when left open from three point land. His back to the basket game is elite for a guard and his court vision allows him to make pinpoint passes out of the post to open perimeter shooters. Johnson committed to Gonzaga in October of 2025 and will make a great addition for the Bulldogs when he graduates high school.
