Ben Howlett Elite Camp Top Performers

The Ben Howlett Elite Camp brought a talented group of prospects to the campus of IU-Indianapolis, featuring players from the 2027-2029 classes from across the Midwest. Throughout the camp, several prospects separated themselves with their production, competitiveness, and overall impact. Here's a look at Part Two at some of the top performers who caught my attention throughout the day.    Electric Top 20 ranked wing in the Illinois Class of 2028 that got busy from the opening jump. Effortless athlete that was flying around making plays on both ends of the floor. Relentless downhill driver that's crafty getting in the lane. Tough cover as a left handed wing that shoots it well from deep. Incredible upside on the defensive end with all the physical tools to be a lockdown defender. Had as much upside as any player at camp.     Prep Hoops #11 Prospect in the Indiana 2028 Class is such a talented scorer. [player_tooltip player_id='2560420' first='Will' last='Davison'], 6'5” Wing out of New Palestine, showed his versatility on the offensive end scoring it efficiently from all three levels. Smooth shooter with deep range that doesn't need much space to get his shot off. More aggressive than I've ever seen him to get downhill. Plays with good balance and footwork around the basket and finishes with a soft touch. Not the quickest or most athletic player but produces from anywhere on the floor.     Arguably the most athletic player at camp showed how dominant he can be when he puts his all his physical tools together. [player_tooltip player_id='2470624' first='Zavier' last='Laney'] out of Center Grove is an aggressive downhill driver that finishes at the rim at a high level in crafty ways. Capable of being a primary ball initiator that is aggressive as a scorer but is a willing playmaker for others. Confident operating in the pick and roll with good court vision. Seems to think the game one play ahead on both ends. Really good on ball defender and rebounder at the guard spot that rips and runs off the defensive glass while being best in transition.     Quite possibly the best two way player at camp, 6'6” [player_tooltip player_id='2470698' first='Brody' last='McLaughlin'] out of Silver Creek is a high motor impact player that makes plays on both ends. Talented defensive minded wing that's capable of guarding 1-5 at the high school level. Bouncy athlete with good extincts on and off the ball. Good rebounder that has the skillset to push in transition and make good decisions. Physical driver that absorbs contact while staying on balance and has the ability to finish above the rim. Intriguing playmaker off the bounce. Willing passer. Excellent cutter off the ball that finishes at a high level.     High IQ guard in the Indiana Class of 2029 that is Under the Radar right now, but is primed for a breakout sophomore season at New Palestine. [player_tooltip player_id='2801971' first='Lincoln' last='Pardue'] is a skilled left handed guard that showed his ability to play on or off the ball. He plays at his own pace and is really good as a playmaker off the dribble. Smooth shot from three while also having a knack for getting to his spots and does a good job finishing with either hand around the basket.     Second time getting eyes on the talented Shooting Guard out of Yorktown, and I'm still blown away by how easy he makes the game look on the offensive end. No wasted movements when he catches on the wing. He's comfortable with his shot off the catch or off the dribble. He possesses a quick first step getting by his defender, but plays under control able to stop and rise up in the midrange or get all the way to the rim. Talented scorer that's in for a big year for Yorktown.
