He came out and was one of the top bigs at the Prep Hoops events, and we also saw him at the UNC camp as well have himself a day. Carr doesn't shy away from matchups; he's very physical and has improved as a finisher at the basket. Carr is starting to throw his weight around a bit more; the motor is there, and he's assertive for HoopTherapy. We want to see him take that into the Fall with showcase season ahead, and this is going to be a big time Senior year for him. He makes a jump in the rankings with high expectations.

Hopwood is a player who is coming off a remarkable season, as he led his team to a state championship. He's an All-State performer as he put up 17.9 points and 5 rebounds a game as a junior. Hopwood showed up and showed out in the playoffs and is a two-way standout for Strasbur,g who will have to double down and look to lead his team to back-to-back. There will be plenty of eyes and pressure on him this year, but with how he showed that he can take over at times, I fully expect for it to look easy or him this year.

Vais was a complimentary piece for Arvada West as a junior, and the multi-sport standout showed that he belonged. He was the team's glue guy who kept things together and impacted the game in various ways. This year, he'll have even more of a scoring role and be looked at to generate looks for himself and teammates. He showed that he could score when given the opportunity, and now he gets the key. Arvada West now gives him the keys to the offense, which should not be a problem for him. He put up 15.7 points a game and also filled it up putting up 6.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists as well as a junior. He's a stat sheet stuffer who could honestly be better than we even realize. He makes a jump in the rankings, and we feel he has an even bigger Senior season.

We got an extended look at Haythorn earlier this summer, and he immediately looked like someone capable of taking a jump heading into the high school season. He's the type of forward that could push for a conference POY as he spaces the floor, defends multiple spots, and makes the extra pass as well. This Summer he showed that he could consistently hit the 3-ball, and that forces defense to have to guard him closely, and that's when he gets to the downhill dribble drives. Haythorn is versatile, has good size, and he's a tough cover. He averaged 16.7 points a game as a junior as Eaton won their conference, and now there will be plenty of teams gunning for him. He earned a rise in the rankings.

With Bantock, we understand that we're probably higher on him than most, but I truly do think there's something here. He quietly put together one of the better summers of anyone in the class and consistently produced every time we saw him. He got out to our events and put on a show from all three-levels. The size is real, he's skilled, finishes around the basket, plays above the rim with finishes, and also shows ball-handling skills. We wanted to see if that would translate to the HS team, so we checked in at Colorado Live. Live wasn't quite the same level we saw during the club season, but the flashes were still there. Now it's about bringing that same confidence and aggressiveness into Legend's system. I'd love to see him at one of our showcases because I still believe there's a big senior season coming if he puts it all together, and that'll give him another bump.

We have seen Franz over the years, and the thing is, he really does look promising over the summer. We saw him at one of our events a couple of weeks back, and he put together another solid weekend that makes you wonder how he isn't having monster seasons on varsity. He's the type of under-the-radar piece that could end up playing a much bigger role than people expect this season. This summer, the three-point shot was falling with range, but what I liked was that he wasn't just standing in the corner waiting for touches. He filled multiple roles, moved the ball, competed defensively, and consistently made the right play. If that perimeter shot becomes a reliable weapon, I think he'll force his way into more minutes and become an important piece for Liberty. He's someone I'd like to get back out to one of our showcases because my expectations for him continue to rise, and I wouldn't be surprised if more people start catching on this winter.

We have showcase season coming up, and with the end of club scene coming quickly, rankings, and showcases here, now is the perfect time to lock in with a subscription.
