Those attributes were instrumental in helping Oostburg to a 24-4 record and the Big East South Conference title last winter. Zavatchin's physical growth and improved skill helped the Flying Dutchmen to a 3-1 record in Kaukauna. His presence on defense made opponents think twice about attempting a shot in his presence. And he was able to score 15 points in highly competitive wins over both Little Chute and North Fond du Lac.

Pools M/N Breakout Performer
[player_tooltip player_id='2396436' first='Matthew' last='Peeters'], 6-2, Sr., G, Little Chute
Peeters typifies most of the players at Little Chute. The compete with grit, toughness, physicality and a strong desire to win each time they take the floor. Peeters did all of those things all weekend while helping the Mustangs to a 4-1 record and the Pools M/N championship. Peeters shot the ball well all weekend as he finished with 15 points and three triples in a win over North Fond du Lac while also making some big baskets in the come-from-behind win over St. Mary Catholic.

Pools M/N All-Tournament Team
[player_tooltip player_id='2509449' first='Carter' last='Sommer'], 6-7, Sr., Columbus Catholic
[player_tooltip player_id='2509448' first='Ben' last='Weiland'], 5-11, Sr., Columbus Catholic
[player_tooltip player_id='2469012' first='Brayden' last='Jeanquart'], 6-3, Sr., Denmark
[player_tooltip player_id='2418649' first='Nolan' last='Lemke'], 6-0, Sr., Denmark
[player_tooltip player_id='2921014' first='Jackson' last='Mannon'], 6-0, Sr., Kohler
[player_tooltip player_id='2883490' first='Carter' last='Zimmermann'], 6-3, Sr., Kohler
[player_tooltip player_id='3020708' first='Henry' last='Knudsen'], 5-10, Jr., Little Chute
[player_tooltip player_id='3020705' first='Trevor' last='Verhagen'], 6-1, Sr., Little Chute
[player_tooltip player_id='3077615' first='Owen' last='Chrouser'], 5-11, Sr., Marathon
[player_tooltip player_id='3020876' first='Ean' last='Shuda'], 5-10, Sr., Marathon
[player_tooltip player_id='3021472' first='Mario' last='Romo'], 6-5, Jr., North Fond du Lac
[player_tooltip player_id='3465912' first='Ben' last='Woods'], 6-1, Soph., North Fond du Lac
[player_tooltip player_id='3335716' first='Trey' last='Van Ess'], 6-1, Soph., Oostburg
[player_tooltip player_id='2508205' first='Westin' last='Zavatchin'], 6-5, Jr., Oostburg
[player_tooltip player_id='2381614' first='Jackson' last='Nordin'], 6-7, Sr., Shawano
[player_tooltip player_id='2140991' first='Will' last='Verkuilen'], 5-11, Sr., Shawano
[player_tooltip player_id='2381627' first='Dylan' last='Brenn'], 6-6, Jr., St. Mary Catholic
[player_tooltip player_id='3022387' first='Max' last='Vosters'], 6-3, Sr., St. Mary Catholic
[player_tooltip player_id='3141451' first='Kade' last='Christensen'], 6-0, Sr., Waupaca
[player_tooltip player_id='3141455' first='Carson' last='Komp'], 6-0, Sr., Waupaca

Pool O Standings
Winnebago Lutheran 3-1, Xavier 3-1, Luxemburg-Casco 3-1, Spring Valley 1-3, Ripon 0-4.

Pool P Standings
Brillion 3-1, Kaukauna Orange 2-2, Lomira 2-2, Reedsville 2-2, Wrightstown 1-3.

Pools O/P Title Game
Winnebago Lutheran 51, Brillion 39. After averaging 14.4 ppg as a junior, LaMotte flashed his ability to shoot from deep, get into the lane and score or get fouled, and set up his teammates with his strong passing skills. LaMotte enters the 2026-27 season as one of the premier guards in the Wisconsin Flyway Conference and his play in Kaukauna only solidified that status.

Pools O/P Breakout Performer
[player_tooltip player_id='2809429' first='Colton' last='Larsen'], 6-5, Sr., F, Brillion
Larsen used his strength, skill and determination to help Brillion to a 3-2 record in Kaukauna. The top returning player for the Eastern Wisconsin Conference champions, Larsen had big games all weekend for the Lions. The physical senior guard was particularly impressive in a loss as he finished with 31 points in a 65-58 setback to Kaukauna White. Bergsbaken got to the basket to finish time after time against the Ghosts and also knocked down two three-point jump shots.

Pool Q Breakout Player
[player_tooltip player_id='2387144' first='Bradley' last='Wendricks'], 6-1, Jr., G/F, Mishicot
It's been several years since Mishicot was any sort of factor in the race for the Big East North Conference championship. Although Mishicot may not have enough firepower to win the league crown in 2026-27, the Indians figure to be vastly improved under coach Randy Wiebensohn. And a big reason for that improvement is the play of Wendricks, a solid all-around player who can affect a game in a positive manner from the inside and outside. He also can score in multiple ways. Wendricks was effective in all of Mishicot's games in Kaukauna and figures to emerge as one of the premier players in the Big East North this winter.

Pool Q All-Tournament Team
[player_tooltip player_id='2386423' first='Graham' last='Scherrer'], Soph., Kaukauna White
[player_tooltip player_id='2637713' first='Jackson' last='Buttke'], 5-11, Sr., Lourdes Academy
[player_tooltip player_id='3119386' first='Eli' last='Halla'], 5-10, Sr., Lourdes Academy
[player_tooltip player_id='2387144' first='Bradley' last='Wendricks'], 6-1, Jr., Mishicot
[player_tooltip player_id='2386784' first='Michael' last='Wendricks'], 5-11, Jr., Mishicot
[player_tooltip player_id='3009960' first='Bryce' last='Flaker'], 5-11, Sr., Pacelli
[player_tooltip player_id='2386444' first='Jake' last='Williams'], 6-2, Sr., Pacelli
[player_tooltip player_id='2381932' first='Kyle' last='Bergsbaken'], 6-1, Sr., Shiocton
[player_tooltip player_id='2824964' first='Garrett' last='Wickesberg'], 5-10, Soph., Shiocton
