Weiland had a game-best 21 points in the contest on the strength of five three-point baskets. The steady and quick backcourt performer also showed the ability to use a ball fake to get around defenders on the perimeter and then score in the lane. Weiland is a key returning player for a very good Columbus Catholic program coming off an Eastern Cloverbelt Conference championship season.

Weiland is the type of player who can get you five or more three-point baskets on any given night. He earned second-team Eastern Cloverbelt Conference honors as a sophomore after averaging 13.7 ppg and making 94 triples in 27 games.
