About Xander

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A point guard who likes to get to his spots. I like to take it to the rim and shoot threes off the dribble. I can shoot off the catch and if available get to a mid range shot.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

A hard worker who likes to get in the gym whenever I can. I am always looking for ways to improve my craft and get better. I feel like I am a great teammate and leader on and off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been awarded President's Education Award and a leadership award from my school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through sports I have developed leadership skills and the ability to be a team player in a group setting.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

During the summer going into my freshman year, I broke my arm playing baseball. And because of my injury I had to miss all of football and half of the basketball season. Right when I started to get healthy I was then told I had to get surgery on my arm and would once again miss all of the football season. Through all of this I was able to come back just as strong physically and mentally ever.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would prefer to find a school that has a strong engineering or architecture program. Also somewhere that would give me the opportunity to play a sport I love.
