NCISAA Live Showcase: Friday Afternoon Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's always a great weekend in North Carolina when the NCBCA holds their June live period event at Rise Indoor Sports and the NCISAA does the same at either Greensboro Day or Forsyth Country Day. We started that weekend for a couple of games at Greensboro Day on Friday before making our way to Rise for the night session! In a tight win over Charlotte Christian, Baker used his outside touch, improved vertical pop, and understanding of the game to provide this group with a versatile two way presence. He's done an incredible job of making his game more well rounded and it looks like this upcoming season is when it will be on full display for everyone to see. Awosanya has proven to be a super high motor wing forward that can help connect your team at both ends of the floor and set the tone from an energy perspective. None of that has changed and it looks like Charlotte Christian is running a lot of their offense through Awosanya in the middle of the floor and that will allow him to rapidly develop his ability to make quick decisions with the ball in his hands. His productivity is spearheaded by his combination of motor and athleticism with that directly translating to consistent production. Faulk-Warner did a great job providing contributions on the glass at both ends of the floor, using his strong frame to carve out space underneath. On the offensive end, he displayed some outside touch, the ability to finish through contact, and found a way to operate as a mismatch. Bradway's ability to operate in multiple spots on the floor with comfort allows him to help this team with his blend of size and skill. Bradway will often use his strong frame to overpower weaker wings on his way to the basket where he is more than capable of finishing through contact. Bradway also acts as a connector for this team, using his voice on the defensive end and ensuring the offense moves in the right direction. Jacobsen has touch from the outside, does a solid job touching the paint and making decisions with the basketball. He should be a big contributor for this team at the PG position and use his leadership to help establish chemistry with the other new pieces. This Cary Academy team had an up and down start until Tweedy turned on the jets in the 4th quarter and it started on the defensive end of the floor. Tweedy's ability to guard multiple positions along with protecting the rim make him a premier defensive talent in this 2028 class. His new found comfort in self creation along with his increased aggressiveness as a driver have made him that much more impactful on the offensive end as well. Mason's ability to create offense for himself despite a ton of attention from the opposing defense being placed on him is really special to watch. He's essentially a mismatch for everyone as he possesses a strong frame and the ability to get where he wants on the floor with his dribble. Cadet's ability to make plays for himself and teammates with the basketball in his hands within that 6'5" frame give him unique traits at this stage in his development. Cadet can make shots from deep off the catch and is starting to show the ability to different things in ball screen situations. He played a key role on this team last year and proved he can make things happen without the ball in his hands, now he'll have the keys to the car and it should be really fun to watch. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
