The last time I saw Kennedy play was exactly a year ago at Midwest Live and once again I was impressed with just how active he is on both ends of the court. Kennedy is always involved in the play as his defensive activity in the Mentor full court press is impressive and offensively he helps create so many good scoring looks for his team. Kennedy does an exceptional job of playing through contact and handling physicality for a player of his size and frame. Kennedy had multiple and-1 finishes as he hits the defender first to draw the contact and acrobatically finishes around him. One of the most productive 2028 guards in northeast Ohio, Kennedy is certainly a name who will draw college interest next summer as a rising senior.

In a battle of 2028 bigs, Zeger dominated another potential Division I target and was one of my most impressive players I saw all weekend. Zerger was going right at his match-up in the paint, using quick rip and go moves to get around his defender and find the space to bank it in. Zerger also secured a handful of his own misses in the paint, showing off his quick second jump. While I do want to see Zerger improve his right hand finishing and ball skills, his ability to make reverse layups and use the rim as protection allows him to finish past length even when the defense knows how he wants to finish. Defensively, Zerger was disciplined as he stayed straight up on contests, didn't fall for pump fakes and forced a lot of tough shots at the rim. Zerger will be a guy college coaches really open their eyes to next spring and summer as a rising senior.

Making the move to Lakota East, Coffey is now playing next to more talented teammates and relieving some ball handling pressure from stud combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='2422124' first='Brady' last='Bowman']. This is a transfer that makes sense for all parties involved and should allow Lakota East to be up at the top of the GMC competing with rival Lakota West and defending state champion Cincinnati Princeton. Coffey impressed with his ability to score at the rim, using his frame to play through contact. With Coffey not having to create shots for himself or teammates every time down the floor now, I also noticed his help-side defense start to shine more as he was there for his teammates when they got beat off the dribble and communicating defensively. Coffey is one of the top 2028 point guards in Ohio and should see his offer list continue to grow as the summer winds down.

Lutheran East made a statement this weekend and Zeigler was dominant in a battle of top guards in the midwest as he was making shots from all over the court against Jordan McDaniel. Zeigler benefits from impressive sets that Lutheran East runs to get him looks on the perimeter and he hits shots that few players can make off movement. With Ohio State Head Coach Jake Diebler in attendance as well as assistants from numerous other high major programs, Zeigler has continued to raise his profile as a nationally ranked guard this summer.

Tough loss for Hilliard Bradley Vs Rockford but I still left impressed with Reed-Davis performance as his interior scoring stood out. While Reed-Davis is usually a 3-and-D wing, he was cutting off set plays and finding space in the paint to score against one of the top defenses in Michigan. While the guard duo for Hilliard Bradley gets the deserved love, their role players contributing off the catch and defensively is the key for them to return to the state championship stage this spring.
