Playing with Summit Country Day, Rardin is able to play off the ball and specialize as an off-ball scorer and the results have been excellent so far. Rardin is an impressive spot-up shooter and he's done well playing off of his teammates and knocking down corner and trail 3-pointers. With good size and length, Rardin has the physical tools to be an impact defender and contest shots both at the rim and on the perimeter. One of the more talented wings in Ohio's 2028 class, Rardin looks like a potential breakout candidate with Summit Country Day.

An awesome battle between two top 2028 wings in the midwest, [player_tooltip player_id='2195056' first='Max' last='Joiner'] Vs [player_tooltip player_id='2822495' first='Keonte' last='Smith'] did not disappoint. Joiner came away with the win as the biggest difference in the game was the supporting casts each player has. Joiner impressed with a couple nasty dunks including one where he drove on the right wing off a screen and threw it down with a ton of momentum. Joiner also knocked down a handful of jumpers, showing off some perimeter scoring ability. One of the most productive 2028 prospects in Ohio, Joiner is already a two time regional champion with Summit Country Day.

Another transfer into the Summit Country Day program, Roark looked comfortable both at Dayton and Xavier team camps handling the ball against pressure and scoring the basketball efficiently. Roark hit some tough perimeter shots off the dribble as he can change pace on the ball and hit deep pull-up jumpers. A microwave scorer, once Roark sees one go in he's usually making his next shot and can put up points in a hurry. I could've mentioned Roark as a standout at each team camp I covered, which shows how well he's fitting in with his new team.

While Smith's team came up short in the top individual battle of the day, it wasn't for any lack of effort from the star wing. Smith had a stretch where he had back-to-back dunks off steals and was dominating in transition with his defensive ability and open court athleticism. Northridge also ran some nice actions to allow Smith to catch the ball on the ball by setting off-ball screens to free him up. These actions are where Smith is at his best because he's extremely tough to stop when he catches the ball within five feet of the rim. Expect Division I schools to be lining up to see Smith during Midwest Live in Sandusky.

Oakwood was incredibly impressive in the game I caught, scoring efficiently against Ferndale in a double-digit victory. Pontzloff knocked down a couple shots off the catch and used his positional size to score on cuts and made the extra pass. While Oakwood graduated a couple key seniors, I expect them to once again be competing for a conference title and Pontzloff seems like an easy candidate to smash his statistical output from his sophomore season this winter.

The CBC is a very competitive league right now with a handful of teams having college level talent on their roster. Johnson is the main scoring option for London as the rising junior guard is a shifty ball handler who had no trouble getting where he wanted to off the bounce on Saturday. Johnson was confident against pressure with the ball in his hands and I really enjoyed watching him operate the offense and create looks for himself and his teammates. After finishing 8th in scoring and 2nd in assists in the CBC as just a sophomore, Johnson should be near the top of both categories this winter.

One of the top point guards in Ohio's 2028 class, Donald has an impressive blend of burst, ball handling and pull-up shooting that makes him one of the toughest covers in the state. A guard you don't want to get caught on an island against in isolation or defending a ball screen in a two-man action, Donald can beat you in a variety of ways. Moeller had a few key pieces out on Saturday and Donald took a majority of the scoring burden for his team as he was creating shots for himself at a high level. Donald had some monster performances in the physical GCL-South as a sophomore last season and will be even tougher to stop on a more talented and experienced Moeller squad this winter.
