Moving up to the top spot in the Class of 2029 rankings is Hopkins-McGlothen and based on his freshman campaign, the proof was clearly in the pudding. The rising sophomore averaged 19.1 points and 3.1 assists while helping propel Benson to the 6A state tournament - thanks to his buzzer-beating 3 against Southridge in the Round of 16 - and the best is clearly yet to come. College programs are already getting on board as he's picked up scholarship offers from Portland and San Francisco.

Coming in at #2 is Smith who put together his own remarkable freshman campaign at Reynolds. He immediately established himself as one of the top scorers in the state and the non-league schedule included a state all-time freshman record of 54 points in a road win at Roseburg. Even though injury hampered him late in the year, he still finished second in the state in scoring (22.1 ppg) while also averaging 5.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals. Already holding scholarship offers from Portland, San Francisco, and Jacksonville, Smith has since transferred to Parkrose and is fitting right in with his new squad this June.

Moving up to the #3 spot is Powell, who made a significant splash of his own his freshman campaign. A little more under the radar at the 3A level, he was not only the leading scorer for Banks but was league player of the year and helped lead the Braves to the 3A state tournament. A fantastic shooter and scorer who can really finish at the rim in transition, the wing has been shining this summer with the talent-loaded [program_tooltip program_id='3566315' first='PortlandBoyz' last='Elite'] squad.

The Class of 2029 is loaded and there's no question an argument could be made for Norris to be at the top. The rising sophomore is a point guard with size and skill and even as a true freshman for Parkrose, proved to be a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. His pull-up game is elite and once he adds consistency to his three-point shot, watch out. More than just a scorer, Norris does a tremendous job getting the ball to open teammates and using his motor, he does a lot of the little things on defense that helps the Broncos have arguably the toughest full-court defense in the state. Colleges are already jumping on board as he holds early offers from San Francisco, San Jose State, and Texas-Arlington.

Hardt largely played a supporting role at Southridge as a true freshman but the truth of the matter is the intention was to bring him along slowly. As the season progressed, the big man got more playing time and the experience has paid off this spring as he's been super impressive with the loaded [program_tooltip program_id='3566315' first='PortlandBoyz' last='Elite'] squad. Already possessing great ability as a rebounder and defender, his offense has started to come along with his naturally good hands and feet down in the post. His high ranking right now is all about his potential and growth, of which the ceiling appears to be limitless.
