Hardt largely played a supporting role at Southridge as a true freshman but the truth of the matter is the intention was to bring him along slowly. As the season progressed, the big man got more playing time and the experience has paid off this spring as he’s been super impressive with the loaded PortlandBoyz Elite squad. Already possessing great ability as a rebounder and defender, his offense has started to come along with his naturally good hands and feet down in the post. His high ranking right now is all about his potential and growth, of which the ceiling appears to be limitless.

The more we watch him play the more we are convinced that Hardt will not only be one of the top posts in his class but arguably in there entire state. The Southridge freshman, who is already ahead of the curve defensively and as a rebounder, is becoming simply unstoppable down on the block when he gets the ball down low and his ability to run the floor for a big man is special.

Getting the day off to a fast start in the morning for the Portland Boyz Elite 16U was Hardt. The 6-foot-8 Southridge freshman was huge inside, converting at a high percentage with a super soft touch. The big man wasn’t around of getting physical and held his ground on D too. Unlike many young bigs who feel they have to prove themselves on the perimeter, Hardt was more than willing to set up shop down low and fight for position.
