That continued for the all-around guard in Wilsonville as he was playing multiple positions while scoring, rebounding, and dishing out assists. 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists along with some solid defense in a well-rounded effort in a consolation round win over Centennial Blue.

Cleveland made a surprise run to the semifinals at the Summer Tourney and a lot of it had to do with the play of Vella. The rising senior guard is the man guy for the Warriors that can create shots for both himself and others, and he was able to both knock down jumpers and utilize his crafty ball-handling to get to the basket in both of the games we watched. 16 points and 6 assists in a win over Banks and then another 17 points in the semis against Mountainside, a game where he knocked down four threes.

Coffman showed that he has all the tools to be a complimentary scorer for West Linn and could even lead the team in scoring at times. The rising senior guard is capable of playing both with and without the basketball in his hands, can shoot off the catch or the dribble, and plays great team ball. He led the team in scoring with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in the tournament consolation finals.

We've said it before but after the Summer Tourney we'll say it again - Frye looks better and better every time we see him play. The rising sophomore big man ran the floor well, competed on the glass on both ends, and finished plays around the hoop in a role coming off the bench for the Lions. You can tell the increased repetitions and playing time are so critical in his overall development and the face-up midrange jumper is coming along as well.

One thing that has always stood out to us about Boe is he comes on the floor ready to compete each and every game. The rising sophomore has a nice looking jumper out past the three-point line but also aggressively attacks the basket off the bounce, capably absorbing contact and often finishing through it. He was a nice secondary scorer for the Mavs at the Summer Tourney, and was also key in helping out on the boards and defending multiple positions. He's going to have a big role for Mountainside this upcoming season.
