The Ridgewood Live Shootout provided an excellent platform for rising talent to showcase their skills heading into the high school ranks. This list of 2029 standouts was compiled strictly based on on-court performance and impactful play throughout the weekend, regardless of prior rankings.

Here are the incoming freshmen who turned heads with their production and upside.

[player_tooltip player_id='2964028' first='Elon' last='Henderson'] | 6'9" Big | Leo

Henderson was an absolute force down low, establishing a dominant low-post game from the jump. The 6-foot-9 big man displayed a soft touch on his baby hooks and consistently finished through contact in the paint. What stands out most is his development around the rim; instead of hunting shots on the perimeter, Henderson embraced his length and anchored the interior. Defensively, he flashed high-upside traits as a rim protector, altering shots and controlling the glass. To cap off his versatile weekend, he showed he can stretch the floor, cleanly executing a jab-step to create space for a corner triple.

[player_tooltip player_id='3472215' first='Zahari' last='Threatt'] | 6'6" Wing | De La Salle

Threatt played with an elite motor that allowed his explosive athleticism to impact both ends of the floor. He set the tone early with some high-flying flushes in transition. A relentless worker on the glass, Threatt consistently skyed for defensive boards, secured the rock, and immediately initiated the one-man fast break. His defensive instincts are advanced for his age; he registered multiple jaw-dropping recovery blocks that looked like the plays of a seasoned varsity veteran. At 6-foot-6, his defensive versatility and open-court athleticism make him one of the most intriguing long-term prospects in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2886496' first='TJ' last='Jamison'] | 6'4" Guard | Whitney Young

Jamison put on a shooting clinic on Saturday, particularly in a high-intensity matchup against St. Laurence. With his team facing a deficit, Jamison caught fire, burying three consecutive triples in a blistering two-minute stretch to single-handedly engineer a comeback. Playing primarily off the ball freed him up to hunt catches and operate as a lethal **floor-spacer without the burden of primary playmaking duties. At 6-foot-4, he possesses great positional size and versatility, making him a highly dangerous off-guard who can impact the game in multiple ways.

[player_tooltip player_id='2947403' first='Orlando' last='Bohlen'] | 6'1 Combo Guard | Payton

Bohlen was completely locked in during Friday's session, showcasing deep, limitless range on his jumper. He started the weekend by rattling off several smooth, nothing-but-net look from beyond the arc. However, the emerging combo guard proved he is far more than just a spot-up threat. Bohlen is sprouting up physically and used his growing frame to attack closeouts, getting downhill into the paint. Once inside, he displayed excellent touch, converting via a soft floater and a fluid mid-range pull-up jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='2767906' first='Ronald' last='Johnson'] | 6'3" Guard | Mt. Carmel

Johnson is a poised, high-IQ guard who plays completely under control and excels at picking his spots within the flow of the offense. On Sunday against Crystal Lake South, his aggressive mindset was on full display. He possesses a great nose for the ball, tracking long rebounds and serving as an elite rebounder out of the guard slot. Johnson continuously broke down the defense to find direct lines to the cup, either finishing strong at the rim or consistently drawing contact to earn trips to the charity stripe.

The Ridgewood Live Shootout provided an excellent platform for rising talent to showcase their skills heading into the high school ranks. This list of 2029 standouts was compiled strictly based on on-court performance and impactful play throughout the weekend, regardless of prior rankings.
