One of the top players in the east district, Little has been a standout for Martins Ferry and set to take his game to the next level as a senior. A prospect who is never afraid to compete against anybody, Little has been attending and standing out at individual prospect camps to help get him on college radars. That willingness to compete translates to the court where Little has the ability to play on or off the ball from the wing guard position with his impressive size, passing and shooting ability. Those blend of skills are exactly why Little should be intriguing to small colleges looking to add those skills to their lineup. As a junior, Little averaged 13 PPG, led the team with 3 APG and shot almost 40% from 3-point range. A top small town prospect from the class of 2027!

A prospect I got to see on the Prep Hoops Circuit a couple weekends ago, Frey is an elite shooter on the wing. Able to relocate himself off the ball and knock down tough shots, Frey doesn't need much time or space to fire away from long distance. The lefty also did a nice job of moving without the ball to force the defense to pay close attention to tracking him and scored on a couple cuts to the rim in the last game I caught. Frey's ability to provide valuable without dribbling the air out of the ball will be crucial as he adjusts to the college level where almost every freshman enters the rotation as a role player.

One of the top wing athletes in northeast Ohio, Ellis has some intriguing upside as a transition athlete who can slash to the rim and guard opposing teams top talents on the perimeter. Ellis looks like a potential impact college prospect with his frame, quick-twitch movements and confidence slashing to the rim. When Ellis is making shots, he's extremely tough to stop from scoring and his performance last season earned him honorable mention all-suburban league. Currently holding one offer from West Alabama, look for more local small college programs to get involved over the next few months.

One of the top multi-sport athletes in southeast Ohio, Layne just received his first football offer from West Virginia State University last night. Layne is also a talented player on the hardwood as he uses his combination of strength, coordination, explosiveness and aggression to thrive as a slasher and in transition. A bit of a mismatch nightmare in southeast Ohio, few teams have the bodies to prevent Layne from getting where he wants to in the paint and he finds a lot of success scoring off spin moves and throwing down dunks when he gets a clear runway. There's talent in every corner of the state if you look for it and Layne is proof that southeast Ohio still has some top athletes.

Another small college target from [program_tooltip program_id='2359745' first='HoopTech' last='Basketball'], Nelson is an impressive wing athlete who can play above the rim and uses his size and length to make a defensive impact. Nelson's highlight of the season for Canton McKinley was a putback dunk in overtime in a tight Federal League showdown. The Pups have been one of the top programs in northeast Ohio the past few seasons as their depth of long athletes makes them a tough team to contend with. I really like the talent McKinley has in their 2027 class with Nelson, [player_tooltip player_id='2306394' first='Jamar' last='Keyes Jr'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2754254' first='Ed' last='Webster'] all set to make one last push at a regional title.
