Ellis is a versatile swingman who operates well on the perimeter and finds different ways to score the basketball. He has nice positional size and uses his length to make an impact on both ends of the floor. Ellis is a capable three-point shooter off the catch and can play above the rim when attacking the basket. He also uses his length to rebound the basketball and provide added value on the glass.
One of the top wing athletes in northeast Ohio, Ellis has some intriguing upside as a transition athlete who can slash to the rim and guard opposing teams top talents on the perimeter. Ellis looks like a potential impact college prospect with his frame, quick-twitch movements and confidence slashing to the rim. When Ellis is making shots, he’s extremely tough to stop from scoring and his performance last season earned him honorable mention all-suburban league. Currently holding one offer from West Alabama, look for more local small college programs to get involved over the next few months.
