Warren is a player who makes the watch list as he's a player who turned heads with the way he embraced the defensive side of the ball early this Spring. He has no problems pressuring opposing guards, he speeds up actions, and he was a consistent disruptor on that end of the floor. That is how you earn minutes as a young guy. Offensively, there were flashes of real playmaking as he has feel and made a couple of finishes through contact. He's still piecing things together overall, but the defensive instincts and ability to impact both ends make him a player we'll intentionally go watch again this Summer.

Sanchez is another player who plays with toughness. We saw him to begin Spring play, and he bought in defensively. He's physical on both ends and imposed his will in the games that we watched. He's a tough finisher around the basket, a relentless offensive glass cleaner that plays above his size and he creates extra opportunities off of hustle alone. What stands out for me is how he embraces contact and is trying to deliver that. That earns you minutes and can translate. We do want to see more of him and home to, but with what we've seen, he was an easy call on making the watch list.

[program_tooltip program_id='2378749' first='Colorado' last='Lightning'] had a few standout players, and they got our attention at a tournament a couple of weeks ago. A player who stood out for me was their forward, [player_tooltip player_id='3581376' first='Ethan' last='Kitson']. Kitson flashed tools that are difficult to ignore at this age group. He is not afraid to use his size and length to alter shots consistently while also showing mobility running the floor in transition. Kitson crashed the offensive glass in multiple games, which showed it wasn't just a good game, he's very active around the rim and is a glue guy full of energy and impactful plays. As he develops, we want to see how he embraces the physical play as he has instincts that say that he's worth monitoring for the rest of the Summer. He makes the watch list this go round.

Jackson makes the watch list, but if we had done the rankings, he would've been on it with the way that he played to begin the Spring. He was a standout at an earlier tournament as he already understands how to anchor a defense, which is impressive for his age. He has good size and protected the paint in the few games that we saw him in, which made us want to see if there was more. He has good timing, understands where to be as a help-side defender, and got individual stops. Offensively, he stayed within himself and capitalized around the basket without forcing to many shots, and we saw him have a big time game scoring inside of the paint. The game looked comfortable for him as a game-changer, and once the offensive side continues expanding, there's real upside for him to make some noise. Buy Drake stock early on.

Baltzer stole the show a couple of weeks ago at our tournament as versatility is one of the things that stand out most. He has a vast offensive package, and he kept being a name that popped throughout the weekend. He's very comfortable finishing inside, he drew fouls and also stepped out and hit a few shots as well as he has a smooth release and confident offensive game. What intrigues me most about his game is how it will looks by the end of the summer. He looks like he's getting more assertive as a downhill attacker who can use the screen and either turn and get to the basket or use it to open up the rest of his game. He can impact the game with his scoring, and when he plays off-ball, adding more to free him up will make him more dangerous. I do think that there are tools there for him to be a very good player, and it will only be a matter of time until he's able to showcase it. He was an easy call to make the watch list.

I know that this is only a watch list, but if we had to do a ranking, he would be the No.1 player in this class. Everything that you're asking for in a young player, he has it. He has excellent size, he has feel, and he scores whenever he wants. We've seen him play up with the older group and fit right in. Ashton is aggressive; he's committed defensively when locked in and plays at his own pace. Against the older group, we've seen him get dunks, shoot the mid-range shot, and get to his spots on the floor, so we could only imagine what it looks like when he plays his own age. He's a player who will play meaningful varsity minutes as only a freshman and will undoubtedly be a name to watch for the next four years.
