Baltzer stole the show a couple of weeks ago at our tournament as versatility is one of the things that stand out most. He has a vast offensive package, and he kept being a name that popped throughout the weekend. He’s very comfortable finishing inside, he drew fouls and also stepped out and hit a few shots as well as he has a smooth release and confident offensive game. What intrigues me most about his game is how it will looks by the end of the summer. He looks like he’s getting more assertive as a downhill attacker who can use the screen and either turn and get to the basket or use it to open up the rest of his game. He can impact the game with his scoring, and when he plays off-ball, adding more to free him up will make him more dangerous. I do think that there are tools there for him to be a very good player, and it will only be a matter of time until he’s able to showcase it. He was an easy call to make the watch list.

Baltzer demonstrated a balanced offensive skill set, combining physicality inside with shooting ability on the perimeter. He was effective attacking the paint, finishing through contact and earning trips to the free throw line. Baltzer showed toughness and composure in those situations, converting opportunities and putting pressure on the defense. In addition to his inside game, he displayed a smooth shooting touch, stepping out beyond the three point line and knocking down shots with confidence. His quick release made him a constant threat, particularly when given space. Baltzer also contributed on the offensive glass, securing rebounds and getting easy second chance points. His versatility made him a difficult matchup throughout the event.
