The third and final day at Hopkins produced competitive games with talented prospects.
Bahr is a very intriguing prospect out of Aquinas due to his natural athlelticsm, his overall strength, and his diverse skillset to impact the game. I saw Bahr play on Sunday and was impressed with his overall play, even though his team lost to a talented Hoop Habits club. Bahr disrupted the game on both ends with his ability to play above the rim. In the first half, Bahr soared to swat an opponent's shot right off the glass to turn defense into offense. On the offensive end, Bahr can elevate on takes downhill to the basket. Outside of his natural explosiveness, Bahr is very skilled, especially in the midpost where he uses superb footwork to score efficently and find cutting teammates. Calvin has a very high competitive spirit as he runs end to end in transition and took a charge despite the score on Sunday. Bahr is an interesting prospect to watch the rest of the spring and summer.

Rindt was lightning quick for the Playmakers East team that scored an impressive victory over [program_tooltip program_id='2512324' first='Wisconsin' last='Legends']. Jackson runs the point along with some other backcourt players, but commands the offense with his tight handle and good decision making. In their euro ball screen offense, Rindt made good passes, knocked down mid-range jumpers, and buried deep triples. Jackson has an extremely quick release and was able to use his footwork to side step defenders to knock down shots. The prospect from Neenah plays extremely hard and figures to have a solid senior season for the Rockets.

Bezares' games is synonymous with the word microwave, as the six-foot-one guard can fill up the statsheets quickly. In his game on Sunday, Bezares buried perimeter shots, and mid range pull-ups by utilizing an extremely quick first step. Xavier was one of the quicker players I was able to see play this weekend on both ends of the floor. Bezares has the ability to go on personal scoring runs, and on the other end, deflect and steal the ball from his matchup right after giving his matchup a bucket. Xavier is worth the watch as he turned in nice performances for Playmakers East this weekend.

Bouressa is a talented, mobile big man from Stevens Point. I have watched Jackson the past three seasons during the club season, and he is able to improve a little bit each year. Bouressa is a bruiser, and as physical as they come around the rim. He was able to impact the game through his offensive rebounding, rolls to the basket, and good touch around the rim. I was impressed with his ability to sprint to screens, and roll methodically, but quickly navigate through traffic to catch and finish on passes. Bouressa is able to guard 1-5 and did a great job of helping shut down a dynamic Wisconsin Legneds ball club on Sunday. Jackson is one of the many talented players coming back for SPASH and figures to be one of the better frontcourt prospects in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.

There is a lot of talent on the P32 Playmakers 17u team, but one player that was consistently terrific this weekend was Cam Kolstad. Kolstad has great poise with the ball and took care of it against a very scrappy MN Fury Zurn club team. Kolstad has a quick first step allowing him to probe to the basket, while making the correct reads. The most impressive part of Kolstad's game is his ability to shoot. Cam has a very quick release and great hand positioning to get shots off quickly. A hustler on the defensive end, Kolstad plays an important complimentary role for the Playmakers. The six-foot-two prospect out Marshfield, has played with some talented players on the Tigers, and he is in line for more scoring responsibility and being the "main guy." If Kolstad can continue developing, he is on the right track to being another highly successful guard out of Marshfield, poised for a big senior year.

It is hard to miss Schmidgall if you were at Hopkins this weekend for this event. The six-foot-eight junior out of Fall Creek moves so well for someone his size and frame. Schmidgall can move in the half court off of actions, guard pick and roll well, and sprints to ball screens making him a nightmare for opposing defenses. I loved the motor on Miles, and his ability to impact the game defensively and overall on the glass. To put it plainly, Miles was a menace on the glass. Schmidgall only attempted 21 threes last high school season, but he is capable of hitting shots. If he continues to develop other parts of his game, he has the potential to be a highly coveted prospect as he enters his final season for the Crickets.
