Who are the local prospects making an impression with college coaches lately? We give you the list of names with recent offers and some commentary to go with it!

Note: When it comes to division two offers, we have no idea right now what type of offer each kid is getting: 1) full offer, 2) full offer with athletics and academics combined, 3) half offer, 4) quarter offer, or 5) offer so small it barely covers your rent for two weeks but it gets you on the team. And.... we can find out but every time we have mentioned small partial the parent or the coach of the kid gets mad at us for "hating on the player" so we usually let that slide. But keep in mind, some D2 offers are far less than other D2 offers in terms of what is being offered.

With that said, time to chat on the guys that are impressing college coaches.

[player_tooltip player_id='2420169' first='Ahmed' last='Nur']

Ahmed is playing with Power 5 in Adidas and has recently been offered by Penn State, Washington, Mississippi State, San Diego State and more. Nur is a throw back in that he is not a guy announcing all of his offers that we see, but they are coming in. A 6'11 skilled and agile player is a rare thing and Nur is that type of guy.

Ranking Relation: Nur is the highest ranked Minnesota talent in national rankings while locally we have him two with Ann having the better high school season. That said, Nur is having a great 17u season with a Wisconsin team and the way colleges are looking at him, he is looking like a serious threat to be Minnesota's top prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126115' first='Vincent' last='Cronin']

The Edina 6'7 small forward with agility and versatility is one of the hottest names in the Midwest. Minnesota, Wisconsin and Stanford are among the high major teams that are starting to recruit Cronin and non high majors are offering hoping the high major teams are going to stick to recruiting older players. Oral Roberts, UIC, Miami of Ohio, and South Dakota State have all offered recently.

Rankings Relation: As a 6'7 small forward Cronin has better agility, length, and height than many at his spot both locally and in the Midwest. The potential has always been there, it's been consistency as he matures and we are seeing that from Cronin now. There is an outside shot he could be nationally ranked with more improvements.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126117' first='Malachi' last='Hill']

Hill has been so good you just knew that at some point there were going to be division one schools that want him in their program as a freshman. Montana just offered a scholarship and I think a few more will step in the ring, Hill is that tough at the lead guard spot.

Rankings Relation: We have said it a million times, D1 schools just aren't going young much with guards that are 6'2 or under. But there are exceptions to that rule when the player is really really good and Hill has been that good.

[player_tooltip player_id='2824358' first='Nicholas' last='Taylor']

Taylor is a 6'8 versatile forward from Lanesboro and Minnesota Lightning and we have been talking about his advancements all spring. You know who else is tracking those advancements? St. Cloud State. Taylor and SCSU met this week and the Huskies offered Taylor a scholarship.

Rankings Relation: We moved Taylor into the top 25 in the prospect rankings and he's earned that level as D2s are calling, and one now offered.

[player_tooltip player_id='2983036' first='Anders' last='Tinjum']

[player_tooltip player_id='2983036' first='Anders' last='Tinjum'] is a skilled and agile 6'5 guard/wing from Ada Borup that has been playing well with Sanford Sports Academy in North Dakota. He had an all event performance last weekend and he will be filling in for the Comets this weekend who will be without three of their top four players.

Rankings Relation: Tinjum was not listed in the recent rankings update and we will be getting that fixed! Tinjum has really taken a step forward this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956268' first='Shay' last='Jackson']

When it comes to lead guards that are tough, that play the best pressure defense in the state, and that kids love to play with, not sure anybody matches Shay from Totino-Grace. Concordia-St Paul must agree as they offered him a scholarship yesterday.

Rankings Relation: This is a take note offer as Jackson is in the top 50 area and there are lead guards that are ahead of him - guys that are likely bigger or taller - that did not get the option to play at CSP like Jackson did. Likely a player that could or should be moved up.

[player_tooltip player_id='2362161' first='Matthew' last='Johnson']

Johnson's offer from Minnesota State-Mankato gives him a fifth NSIC offer and these days that is a massive number. The Mavs joined St. Cloud State, Minnesota-State Moorhead, Minnesota-Duluth and Augustana in offering one of the top up and comers. And we could see some D1 schools locally start moving in here as well.

Rankings Relation: Johnson moved into a top 15 area recruit and his recruitment is reflecting that. And from what we have seen in the past, when a guy gets five or more D2 offers the local D1 low and mid majors start to look closely as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126458' first='Luke' last='Schroeder']

Luke is one of the elite shooters you will see anywhere and he just picked up an offer from Augustana. Auggie joins Concordia-St. Paul (where Luke just visited) and Winona State as offered schools that are tracking Luke close

Rankings Relation: Another top 15 prospect in the state with a recruitment that is looking like that of a top 15 with good NSIC schools tracking him.
